Bit of a myth about Pigpen drinking himself to death. The guy had congenial liver disease. It didn't help, to be sure, but he didn't "drink himself to death" in a Leaving Las Vegas type of way. If you have(do you mean), congenital liver disease? Then you wouldn't, or one shouldn't drink( alcoholic beverages) at all. So...would that not still be referred to as; drinking one's self to death? Just a question, not a judgement. I thought it was a pancreatic issue...not a liver thing...not that that makes it better or easier...just sayin...but I think I am recalling something else...I do know he wasn't into the psycedelics like the rest of the bus Yes indeed PanAn, excellent diagnosis old bean. Could well have been. I would say if, it was indeed CONGENITAL, then it would more likely be a pancreatic issue. That is to say, that pancreatic congenital issues are just more common, liver(unless cancer related) issues tend to be in older life, or due to ingestion of well, many nefarious chemicals.
