Keith Richards wants to be buried next to Rolling Stones bandmate Charlie Watts after he passes away. The 72-year-old guitarist has a reputation as rock's ultimate survivor, as he's still in good enough health to tour the world with the band despite years of hard living.
However despite living through several near death experiences, including falling out of a palm tree in Fiji in 2006, it's the death of two of his beloved dogs that have caused him to reflect on the nature of mortality.
And he revealed that when he does die he'll request a burial place alongside the Rolling Stones' drummer, who is also still very much alive at the age of 75.
"I want to be buried next to Charlie Watts," the Jumping Jack Flash musician explains to Britain's Radio Times magazine.
Talking of how he felt after the death of his pets, the veteran star adds, "Two (dogs) died. They reached the end of their string, and they looked at me and said, 'I'm leaving now.' I did love them.
"You know, you cuddle up if you find yourself alone or whatever. I've always thought animals are a natural part of a house. But also you have to know that... I mean, you know me, I'm going to hang on for ever! But you need to know, 'I'm going to see this pup die'. It gives you a sense of space and time."
Keith has previously spoken of his love for Charlie in interviews, telling Britain's The Sun newspaper that playing with the percussionist was one reason he still loved performing.
"Charlie Watts is amazing, the hardest job in a band is drumming, the sheer power and subtlety of the man," he said. "I go up there just to be able to play with Charlie Watts, he's an amazing man. My aim is to get as cool as Charlie."
Despite their advanced years the Rolling Stones still seem to be pursuing work and personal lives which are almost as hectic as in their 1960s and 1970s heyday.
The band completed a stadium tour of Latin America in March (16) and are now working on a new blues inspired album.
Bandmember Ronnie Wood, 69, also experienced the joy of becoming a new father in May (16), when his wife Sally Humphreys, 38, gave birth to twins.
The group's frontman Mick Jagger, 72, is also reportedly set to become a new father as his 29-year-old girlfriend, the ballerina Melanie Hamrick is thought to be expecting a child.
