Time to start some RUMORS...Where IS the Fall Tour news???

So...We have...

+ 2 festival shows in 3 months
+ 1 Vegas show in 3 months...
+ 2nd Vegas show rumored...
+ Keith in NY last month doing add-ons / overdubs on new material
+ Exhibitionism opens in NY in November
+ With few exceptions, tickets for Zip Code and Ole went on sale about 3-4 months before shows

What we are asking ourselves...

+ Will we get an actual Fall 2016 tour?
+ Could it be a Southern US Winter tour?
+ Are they saving it for Spring?
+ Will they play another magical night in Raleigh again?

Of course there'll be a tour later in the year. They're hardly going to do a three show trek - especially to promote a new record.

Desert Trip isnt a Stones show but a festival so they have no control over when that event gets announced and put on sale.

I'd expect more solid confirmation in the next couple of weeks. Would make sense publicity wise to tie it in with some kind of announcement regarding details of their next album.

Dont be expecting a prolonged series of concerts. It'll be the usual 15 dates or thereabouts I'm sure stretched over a couple of months. They wont commit themselves as a band to more than that many shows in one stretch anymore.

Checking in at IORR, BV is saying it looks as if this fall will not be a 12-15 date tour. The second Vegas gig is still rumored but nothing else.
I'm in for the Vegas 10/19 and just finished my travel and hotel plans for that week. I decided not to wait for a potential second gig figuring there would be something in the northeast. It doesn't look promising at this point.
There is a strong rumbling of Europe next June. If that happens, I am there.

Lisa Fischer just announced a show here in Durham on Oct 25...can mean nothing... can mean something...

Here is a discovery form the latest "This is total bullshit" news...

As a troll on RS.com, I like to just look at the shows/tours etc...Last night I clicked on the second Vegas show to see how this so-called "overwhelming demand" is working out...

The interface is easier than it was for the first show...cleaner and slicker than Ticketbastard...now get this...when you choose the number of tickets...ex/ 2 tickets...you are able to buy them AND reserve 6 seats next to you WITHOUT PAYING FOR THEM...RESERVE...for a LIMITED TIME...it is offered as Friend Invite or something like that...who knows when they are released back into the pool...(anyone??)

So a sold out show...is likely NOT sold out for some time...its like a scalpers DREAM!!!
Reserve...find a customer in the market and sell him the ticket...no risk to the seller!!

I know I may be over simplifying it...but I dont think I am too far off...

Consider this...(even though there seems to be seats a plentiful at the moment)...considering and removing from the formula all the "presales...the thousands of tickets on secondary sites a week before the show...and hookups, promoter tkts and the so-called first 10 rows for friends...

If there are 10000 seats in the place left on sale day......and there is an 8 ticket limit (sale + reserve)...that leave alot of folks who just want a "cheap tkt" out to dry...those $800 tkts are still around...

Ranting here is all...

Incredible stuff. And spot on.

The bottom line is that the band and promoters dont care who buys their tickets.

If some fucking idiot wants to buy up tickets which are already very expensive and try to make money on them, then the responsibility for getting rid of those tickets rests with them. The band and the promoters are already paid, so if someone ends up having to offload a $500 ticket for $150 then thats their problem for misjudging the demand.

Its a pretty shameful way of treating a loyal fanbase. I'm glad to be out of this bait and switch nonsense.
