The setlist is identical to Hampton '81, except swapping Let It Bleed for Angie. What's the point of this release? Is it a great show? Was the whole Tattoo You tour this static?

the best part of this is hopefully seeing the release of all the video from the official audio concert releases…
Toronto 2005 would be sweet…
Does anyone think they might sooner or later to a very sweet 1972 package?
i do...

What's the point in any of the releases? The setlist changes over 50 years has been very minimal.

Point taken, SCL.
I do love the Tattoo You tour, but I'm not as boot-savvy as a lot of other peeps here. Is this a really great show in some fashion, other than it's historical value as Stu's last gig?
I'll be buying it nonetheless...

i do...

Well, theyve already released "Ladies and Gentlemen" so as far as DVD/blu ray releases go, I think that's likely to be all we'll ever get for the forseeable future as 'Cocksucker Blues' is still pretty much a non starter for a multitude of reasons.

Unless they start putting out a series of standalone audio releases as Cds or downloads, I think it might be a while before we get anything else from that year.

For some the 81/82 tour was their first. I get their love of those memories. For me having seen 72 /75/78 I will pass on this. Every song sounded so similar with Ernie Watts on sax so high in the mix. I'd prefer something from Zip Code myself. Maybe they will wait for some of those incredible fan scenes from South America though.

Something from the 'Zip Code' tour wouldn't be an 'archive' release though.  It would be an entirely separate project.  The promotion would probably be a bit more high profile as well.

Thanks for the video, Gazza. Great rendition. Always fun to see Mick playing mute guitar with such gusto.

I have to say that the dry, academic sound of Karl Denson this year made me miss Ernie Watts.
