Sounds like they are locked in a Sound Stage on one of the Movie Studio lots and there are TONS of them in Hollywood/LA.

I'm just happy to know they are all there and rehearsing.
I really don't need to hear about "gems" that have been rehearsed only to be disappointed at the show.

The “Cabaret” Oscar winner was seen bonding with the band’s Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood at Catalina Jazz Club in LA on Sunday night.

The trio of legends were there to see Lisa Fischer, a singer who’s toured with the Stones as well as Sting and Nine Inch Nails.

“After the show, Watts, Wood and Minnelli were comparing notes on rehearsing,” said a music spy.

The Stones are gearing up to go on a North American summer tour, and Minnelli’s prepping a fall concert called “Great Day.”

Minnelli is doing well after her most recent round in rehab — where Wood has reportedly been eight times.

Fonda is the rumor because the act that was scheduled to play there moved to a different (larger) venue.

I see Letterman retires on Wednesday, and his final musical guest still hasnt been announced - Eddie Vedder is playing on Monday and Bob Dylan on Tuesday.

I know its in New York and the Stones are in Hollywood, but it is doable for them and there have been rumours for several weeks about a TV appearance or two to promote this tour and SF reissue

Does anyone think this might be a possibility? The Stones have never played on Letterman's show and I remember being told years ago by someone who was a mutual friend of them both that there's a bit of long term 'needle' between Dave and Keith over a personal issue, so I suppose its a long shot - but the fact that theyre in the US and on the verge of a tour would make it a nice bit of self promotion.

Personally, I think Letterman's final musical guest will be Springsteen (he was the surprise closing act in 1993 when Dave did his final show with NBC).

Time to dust off the rust!

*In all seriousness I did actually happen to see The Rolling Stones in concert once and they did NOT play Satisfaction. This isn't a play on words ... it isn't a riddle. It is what it is. I actually saw them play a full concert and they did not include Satisfaction that evening.

They didnt play it all on the No Security US Tour - they omitted 'Miss You' every night too.

And despite charging the most obscene ticket prices ever seen in the history of rock music to that point (a record theyve since topped several times over) people didnt walk out in disgust and still came back next tour in their millions.

'Miss You' was rarely played on the Licks tour either.

'Satisfaction' was barely played ten times in the decade before 1981.

Proof that the notion that they 'have' to play certain songs is utter bollocks.

I guess a duet of Sister Morphine with Marianne Faithful is doubtful??

The one thing I hate about this Sticky Fingers tour is the chances of hearing Wild Horses are pretty good. I've seen Wild Horses several times now and could do without it.
