Just got my tickets for Pittsburgh. Would like to meet Steel Wheels because I understand he/she is going to that same show and I am wanting to meet fellow RO'ers who are also attending the show.

My question is in two parts:

1. Are there opening acts this tour ... doesn't say there is any opening act on my ticket and nor have I heard of any.

2. It says the show is to start at 8 pm .. if there is no opening act it means the Stones are to probably to come on around 8:30 pm or so...however at this time it will still be day-light out .. yet it will be in the evening. Are they planning on starting this show in the evening hours before sun-down? (is a strange choice if they have a choice .. normally it would be dark so the lighting would be in full effet etc... anyone know whats to take place?).

I would imagine for stadium shows they'll have opening acts. They did in Europe and (I think) in Australia.  They dont tend to announce them until maybe a few weeks in advance.

My ticket for Berlin last summer made no mention of a support act or even if there was going to be one.

If the show starts at 8 pm as scheduled, you're probably looking at the Stones coming on around 9.30, I would imagine.

Lucky Dipp Question:

Assuming all the same as it was in 2013/2014...it does not matter when you show up as tickets/seats are already picked and in your name...is that correct?
Or is it random up to the point of tkts in hand?

I am bartering a tkt for some BBQ and a crash pad...Thanks

Its totally random. There are venue people with sealed envelopes and wherever you are in line will determine who gives you the tickets. Then you get a wristband and are supposed to go right into the venue, but it depends on the venue itself and where the ticket lines are stationed. I had 5 lucky dip venues last time and each place did it differently, some made you go out and get in line to get inside, others ushered you right inside. One thing I learned is you gotta look around for the person who looks like they are in charge of it, because they have the stack of "great" seats. And if you can make your way over to that person, look super fan-like and act over the top enthusiastic, you might score a really great seat. I got great seats once, good seats 2 times, ok seats 2 times, and 1 time way up in the nosebleeds. Look for the head guy with the "special pile" if that is even remotely possible.

"Trending" is a mutilation of the English language that means "currently popular." It derives from a sad misunderstanding of the verb "to trend" as meaning "to become a trend."

That is fantastic news.

Any word on where the rehearsals will be held, or are we going to need the talents of the previous crew that pinpointed their locale from the mountains in the background if I recall correctly.

That was admirable work!
God's work, even!

hopefully rehearsals will be here again...

if they end up at a movie studio (like Sony), it will be almost impossible to hear or see anything.

Yeah I remember you were one of the "news crew"

There were two others that were also deep, DEEP into the Stones rehearsals -- who were they?

You all did truly admirable work.

I am wondering about the set itself...will it be the last Euro stadium  stage?? (Likely)

Will it be new? It was hinted by Jagger i think that designs were in the works, but who knows what that really means or if it is just lip service...

Jagger was at U2s 2009 NJ show...he MUST have been impressed by the 360 Claw and the truly amazing sound it put out...they should just lease that, IMO.

Dont know what those huge blocked out areas are on the stadium maps...Lighting rig? PA systems? Go-go dancing blocks for Mr and Mrs GRRRRRegory? Or just a place for a rather extra large scupture of sticky treacle covered fingers perhaps...
