See that....

Everyone's got a nice attitude now.

Parties being planned, dates yet unknown

Very much like planning what you'd do with lottery winnings.

I like this.
This is encouraging.

I'd love to see them play some different markets.

Everyone noted how the US south, home of some roots, was sadly overlooked 2 years ago.

Hit them cities.

Hit New Orleans.

i want New Orleans to win the Stones Lott'ry

Come on BIG EASY.

Naaaaa ...can't be ... because rememeber now Folks ...that completed, ready to go Keith Richard's solo album is finally coming out in June .. .. remember? .. .. .. Cheesy

- Ian

The tour was meant to finish in the summer and there were plans to play a show or two in London.

Thats now been extended due to last winter's South American tour being shelved. Try and keep up.

If you want to thank anyone for the Stones tour being extended for another year, you can send your greeting cards to :

Excelentisíma Senora Cristina Fernández de Kirchner
Presidente de la Nación Argentina
Casa Rosada
Balcarce 50,
Buenos Aires, Argentina

(Note : As she has fucked her country's economy up beyond all recognition, make sure you have used enough postage stamps)

Guy ... ya can't go on blaming other people and every excuse / circumstance under the sun (now including people in third world countries) for KR not putting out this suppossed solo album for the past four years now.

After this summer it will be the fall .... after the fall it will be scehduled for the Holidays ...after the Holidays it will be Spring ... aren't you seeing a pattern here ... ?

I call this album ..<Keith's Democracy>..

No. I'm 'blaming' Argentina's economy (and L'wren Scott's suicide before it) for the fact that a Stones tour will now be likely to go into 2016, instead of ending in mid-2015.

Just like I can 'blame' the change in the UK tax laws in 1998 for the Stones doing the No security Tour in 1999...

Just like I can 'blame' the poor state of Asian economy and general infrastructure for their failure to extend the Voodoo Lounge tour into 1996 and the subsequent decision to record another album and go on a subsequent tour in 1997.

Just like I can 'blame' Keith banging his head in Fiji for the Bigger Bang Tour being extended into 2007 as half of the summer 2006 European tour got cancelled.

Strange as it may seem to some fans, the Stones arent so powerful that they can influence world events or various unforseen circumstances. Even despite the fact that they generate more money than the GNP of some third world countries.

Keith wants to tour solo (or at least play some shows) to promote his album when it comes out. Thats unlikely to happen until there's a window of opportunity to do so when the Stones are inactive.

Band commitments always take top priority. Anything else - side projects, movie production work, writing autobiographies, jazz club residencies, etc - get put on the back burner. None of them make as much money.

Its really not that difficult to comprehend for most people.

OK now! Just catching up on this thread and it sounds promising although not certain. Hopeful. Lots of variables as Gazza pointed out. 2 shows/week sounds right, most likely the larger cities with 2 shows each. West coast, Chicago, east coast and wrap it up in London?

No London this year, as far as I can see.

North America - summer 2015.

Latin America (barring more economic problems) -  late 2015

Nothing rumbling about where the North American shows are likely to be. My guess is a mix of the main markets and maybe some of the areas they missed in 2013. I doubt we'll hear anything for another month at least if we're talking about shows in June.

Unfortunately it'll probably depend again on who can afford them, really - thats why the 2013 tour excluded certain regions, ie not enough potential punters willing to throw $700 down for a concert ticket. Hard to see this year's tour reaching some of those places unless there's a bit more flexibility in their prices.

Thats the ticket. Go with a band who really can change world events !

And discounting "Live Licks", when was the last time the Stones presented you with a new album that hardly anyone asked for?

Ticket priced will probably be high, I'm sure the promotors will buy into the "unbiased" media's assessment that the economy here in the States is doing much better now... Ignoring the FACT that the average wage is at a 6 year low.

I hope they finally play in Austin. They've never been to Austin, not even once ever. They always fly over it and forget to land...Austin deserves it. Great little big town with plenty of wide open spaces. In fact, the last time they played in Austin they had a blast. Brought along Hamish and a camera...played some Bob Wills

Heck, why wouldn't they play Austin? Do it for Ian MacLagan...

They played Zilker Park in Austin October 2006 and Keith did a Bob Wills tune  I believe....or did you mean that?

The list I've seen seems kind of strange, almost NO shows in the cities they played in '13...start in Vancouver or Seattle, no LA, no Vegas, no Chicago, no Washington, DC..NYC shows not at MSG! Phoenix or Dallas....New Orleans, Detroit, Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale(Maybe Miami) and possibly Orlando or Tampa too...Atlanta, Cleveland, Baltimore and Barclay Center.
