Seeking Pics of New Barbarians T-Shirts for NB book project

A New Barbarians coffee table book is in the works. Details are HERE

Sounds like a very worthwhile project!I mentioned the idea of including pics of Barbarians tour t-shirts to the author and he liked the suggestion. If you have a vintage New Barbarians t-shirt and would like to provide a photo of it for possible inclusion in the book, please contact Rob Chapman at: [email protected]

All the better if you can post a pic here, too, so everyone can see. The Barbarians had some very cool tour tees!

That would be a very "niche market" book! No, according to the author it's a coffee table book from Voyageur Press all about the Barbs w/ input from the remaining band members and 350 unpublished photos by Ronnie's personal photographer from that era. He's seeking as much fan input as possible, too. If you're interested in providing your original pics + your story about your concert experience for possible inclusion in the book, I'm sure he'd like to hear from you. Email: [email protected]

For me the New Barbarians are the best Stones related side Project, the drunkest band live on stage ever, I think that with all the cocaine and booze they used during the tour you can make an artificial beach with the cocaine as the sand and the booze as the sea water… Do this, next time you arrive home high and drunk just play the NB live, sing with them, you will feel the fire!

Some tales about the band may be apocryphal. What seems certain is that they were originally named The Nude Barbarians, then briefly The Shillings, then The Seven Arseholes. Wood's tight red PVC trousers at Knebworth are not easily forgotten, or infact entirely remembered. Some claim they played for the deaf one night in Cabbagetown. The bar-tab for one of their concerts was 17 times that of Tammy Wynette's.
