I'm married to a German. Having Germany and the US in the same group sucks!

This is football. The NFL is another thing entirely. I love it too, but it's closer to rugby with helmets and pads then it is to football.

I fell in love with the sport as a kid while I was a goal keeper. Finally in the last 10 years or so we are getting decent football coverage here in the US. Not just MLS, but Premier League, CONCACAF, UEFA and World Cup. Love it!

There is only one place in the US that truly celebrates the World Cup and makes it so much fun to follow...Washington, DC....those embassy folks are CRAZY!!! They have gatherings all over town. And whether your team loses or wins, there is always somebody ready to buy you a drink to celebrate or console. Let's go get drunk
