And let me just say for the record:
I do not tire of watching and posting these setlists.
I do not care that they are more than predictable.
I know that is this likely the Farewell Tour of my Band.
I still get a tingle knowing they are on stage right now.
Naysayers be damned.

LJ...Paula...Maybe i am reading way too much into your post, but, I have always said thanks for your efforts...and I don't think anyone is or has put you down for it ( I could be wrong, hope I am not). Anyone who does is, well, ridiculous and short sighted...

It's like watching your favorite film over and over...or listening to your favorite album every week, or watching the same old episodes of Seinfeld...you know Kramer will do that stupid entrance of his...but you love it everytime...or posting the SOS on a bulletin board for to a bunch of strangers you somehow identify with and consider friends...

So...more power to you...I think we could all use some more passion about things in our lives.

No apologies necessary PA!!
I did not mean to imply AT ALL that my posting efforts were unappreciated.
Everyone has been very gracious about pix, setlists and articles.

LOVE when we are all cool...LOVE LOVE LOVE...

As Tina asked, "What's love got to do with it"?
And John replied, "Love is all you need."
And Mick Agreed, "That's right Tina, Love is strong"

I´ll be damned then.its god damn boring tour and idiots are paying for it.Look 15 years behind and you got lot more for your money.

Have you seen a show in 2012-2013?
I don't mean listened to a boot or watched a video?
Have you seen a show since 06-07?
I have and loved it.
And if they return to the United States, I'll be "an idiot" and go to a show.

Had this discussion last night with some ardent Stones fans.
We've been to so many shows over the years, we're jaded.

These shows, especially in the Far East, are geared for "first timers" and they want to hear the warhorses.

They last played Asia in 2006. They played there previously in 2003. Aside from gigs like Glastonbury, there are few first timers at Stones shows anymore if the audiences ages are any yardstick. Especially at those prices. Anyone who is telling you otherwise is kidding themselves. And they have more than ten warhorses.

A greatest hits type show isnt unreasonable - but the same 10-12 'hits' at every show for the last decade? Pure laziness. They could pool that 10-12 from a list of 18-20 very well known 'classics', rotating one or two of them in and out of the set per night and no one would complain. Minor tinkering required to keep it interesting.

And a band of the Stones' greatness really shouldnt have to tailor a show in a way that they're someone's personal jukebox. After 52 years, theyve earned the right to play what the hell they like.

I cant grasp how someone can pay $1000 or so to see a band who have sold 250 million records, yet we're supposed to believe that these same people theyre aiming the show at only know about ten of their songs and either cant be bothered or cant afford to buy any of their albums.

I don't disagree with you.
All I'm saying is that despite all of this, I still get a charge out of following the setlist and posting pics that I find for the Board.
And should they return to the United States, I will fork out money to see them again.
But that's just me and I make no apologies for the way I feel.
There is no other band for me. This is it.

If I didnt still enjoy doing that too, I wouldnt be here. More power to you. Smiley I'm hugely grateful for all your help.

Doesnt alter the fact that I think that creatively they're absolutely phoning it in - even though I very much enjoyed the two shows I saw in 2012-13. In fact, they were better than I dared hope they'd be capable of at this stage.

I still think the top prices at these shows are about three times higher than what they're worth, though. There's no excuse in the world that justifies price hikes per tour which in  terms of inflation would outstrip that of a war-torn African country. That aspect of it I find genuinely insulting (loyalty is a two-way street) - and is much more of an issue than the content of the shows.  The 'lets just be glad theyre still playing' argument doesn't hold a lot of water when they're doing their best to ensure that many of us who ARE 'still glad they're playing' are either being priced out of the shows or made to feel like we're actually an inconvenient nuisance there to be exploited because we happen to like more than a few songs in their back catalogue.

Fandom comes in different guises. I'd never rubbish anyone who has no qualms at all about shelling out large amounts of cash to see a show because its obviously something that means a hell of a lot to them, personally. Similarly, I can totally understand the feelings of many long-time fans who have reached the point where their attitude is 'they're taking the piss'.  I find myself somewhere in the middle. Still love the music and enjoy the shows I see, but am at the stage where whilst I'd LIKE to see more shows, its not going to kill me if I dont.

Last June in Chicago, they were as good as I remember them being on Licks tour, which was pretty good, I thought.  I remember focusing in on Jagger during HTM, after somewhat of a lull, and you could just see the commitment in his expression.  Determined throughout the show to deliver the goods, and he did, driving the band along.  Memories well worth whatever the hell long forgotten $$$ (green) I spent.

I appreciate the set lists being put up but I only check them for one reason and one reason only now: to see how many songs Mick Taylor played on. Ronnie Wood did an interview with Rolling Stone during Voodoo Lounge and said:

"What has been the best show so far?
The second show in Las Vegas. Those people paid so much money, so I was expecting, like [yawns]. Those $300 people were absolute maniacs."

What a long time ago that seems where $300 was paying "so much." If you factor in inflation, that $300 comes to about $475 today. Considering the prices a nose bleed ticket costs today, let alone a premium ticket, you would expect a little more variety in the set lists and steak and shrimp during Keith's set.

Certainly hope the set list changes for Oz. I wont be happy if I have to hear bloody YGMR again. Or Angie for that matter. STM with Taylor would give us all tingles.

Has he ever not given a stellar review? That's a serious question, btw.

Separately, thanks for the effort with the updates and photos LJ, I do enjoy keeping up on the latest on the Stones even if I can't get on board with a lot of their decisions.

That said, it's not like anyone who's followed them on this tour, or since the 90's even, would suddenly expect a change in their modus operandi.

And I applaud your genuine enthusiasm with all sincerity. I, too, got a little a choked up as the last notes of Satisfaction faded out in Toronto last year.

Licks tour. They had a different stage show and setlist for theatres, arenas and stadiums with a reasonable amount of variation within each.

It showed they could pull it off if they wanted to. Since then, they just havent wanted to.

Pleasantly surprised with this video. GS has not really done it for me on this tour but for a couple of minutes on this version things are sounding pretty tasty. From about 1:00 to 3:00 when Lisa comes in, which includes a nice little solo from Keith.
