...

Who would come back in the sixties and can re-live the fanstastic era that had change the world in all its expressions? About fashion, music, youth's culture.. Be in the swinging London at the right time and could see the early Stones with Brian.. theirs shows.. meet the future rockstars without bodyguards.. who of you would get back and see what happened?

A jump in the time machine and in a flash.. in London!!
Who remember this thin girl?  Shit!

Looks like Twiggy set the standard for today's models: skin & bones !

Yes, Anorexia on the run way.
I haven't heard anything about her in years, last public exposure was on Pin-Ups album, & that's going back to '73

Twiggy was in the Blues Brothers movie as the girl at the gas station.

Looks like some recent pics here: http://www.zimbio.com/photos/Twiggy/Twiggy+For+M+S+Woman+Photocall/wMbQ4qWd7Zj

It's not  beautiful be the referement of anorexia..as Twiggy was one or the first of all that kind of models. Who can be so thin like her for wears clothes in so tiny sizes?
I aint for sure! anyway, I think that the real fashion is making in the streets where the normal people walk or drive.. whatever they do.
Are us to make it every day with our own choices. it's very personal and thin models like her arent the truth about the normal women.

I coudnt wear a 36 (European size) as her. That is extra small.
But I would talk about the music and the band of the sixties.. not about models.
I simply wrong pic as.. I do as always.. oh well!! I would add characters of the 60s..

Twiggy was also in a 1986 movie, CLUB PARADISE, with Robin Williams, Peter O Toole, and Jimmy Cliff.

Ahhhh yes...the Twigs! Grin She was about 5'7" and 92 lbs...I weighed 92 lbs at the time as well---but I was only 5'2"! She made quite the fashion statement, especially with the hand drawn lash lines on her lower lids...I loved her in "The Boyfriend" {1971}. I can still remember the songs from that movie, and I haven't seen it in over 40 years!

I would LOVE to go back to the 60's. Heck, I do it in my head every day... Wink Grin I had the best time---I was 7 at the beginning of the decade and 17 at the end. And I remember everything!!!  Cool

Hi Sioux,

we're of the same age and I too remember everything from back in the 60s.
Wouldn't say that this was the best time of my life, 'cause I had a pretty great life over the
next decades too and still have.
But there was this magic in the sixties ... I don't know how to describe
but I'm sure you know what I mean. Everything was new. No satiety in any way.

Yep, there were no music chanels everywhere on TV or Radio, so we were happy when our fav program was on.
It was a great moment when a friend came over with the newest singles of the groups from back then. Not only the Stones. Beatles of course were great but then there were the Kinks, the Who etc. you name it.
I remember well when the Jumpin' Jack Flash promo was aired on TV we were really hyped.
We discussed how great it would be when there would something exist similiar to a tape-recorder but
to record not only the audio but the video too. No one of us had a clue that some years later all of us would have a video-recorder at home.

I'm from the 60's too, a little younger then Sioux & Philgood, 58 years old now, but I remember the 60's very well, it was like a magical period, A friend of mine, same age, agrees with me that we were so lucky to grow up then, best music ever, every song on the radio was great, I will never stop saying enough about it, the early to mid 70's were left over from the 60's, not a lot changed, artists could still write songs & be original, I just loved the 60's. Smiley

EXACTLY, philgood and HOS. Smiley Everything was new and exciting and progressive. Heck, there was pretty horrible stuff too---assassinations and war and civil unrest, etc, but, we all felt united through all of that, and I wouldn't have missed even those things for anything.

Music
Fashion
Art
TV
Movies

All were just spendid and influential and paved the way for what we have now...{which is NO WAY as good as what we had back then! lol Tongue}

Sioux and philgood, we are the same age.

What a great time the Sixties were - things seemed to be changing for the better. Despite the civil unrest etc there was, or seemed to me at least, expectations of positive improvement.
And, I had allot of fun, especially in the later Sixties into the early Seventies!

The 60's!  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I don't remember any of it!

But, I must've had a good time, because all I did was sleep, drink, and relax.

Oh!  You think I'm lying?

Ha!
