Providing backup vocals for the band's live performances were, from left, Cassie Gaines, Leslie Hawkins and JoJo Billingsley. Gaines and Van Zant were 29 years old when they died in the 1977 plane crash. Steve Gaines, Cassie's younger brother, was 28. Getty Images

Still remember hearing about the crash the next day.
Still got my Street Survivors album, with the flames.
Got tp see them in 1975

I think there's a group that treks out to the crash site every year.
They had good weather this time.

Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, January 21, 1972: Chuck Berry was the opening act for Black Oak Arkansas, Keith appeared as a surprise guest during Chuck's set and Chuck kicked Keith off the stage LOL  (unbelievable  but true... Two emblematic rock heroes opening for a good band who didn’t pass the "history test"; today Black Oak Arkansas is a cult act, I like their music and saw them live three times, but NOT at the level of Keith or Chuck and here was the opening act)

On This Day In 1965 The Rolling Stones Got The Shock Of Their Lives
By Jeff K
Mar 26, 2021

It was on this day In 1965, when members of The Rolling Stones, including Mick Jagger, Bill Wyman and Brian Jones all got electric shocks from faulty microphones during a gig in Denmark. Wyman was hurt so bad by the 220-volt shock he was unconscious for a few minutes. Full details are scarce but there are photos of Wyman knocked out on the floor, and Jagger upset and scared.
