A childhood friend of Mary's posted this on her Facebook wall. It's a pic of Mary walking in a Park in Jersey in the 70's.
I find, along with many others. find it very poignant.

I got a feeling this gig at Boston tonight is gonna be something special, and Mary will be there realy enjoying it all and having a great time.

I had the task of selling Mary's car. It was difficult due to the fact that the air conditioning didn't work and the car was in FL with very high temps every day especially summertime. So the car was sitting there unused as Mary was paying $75/month to park it. I told her she could park it for free and save the monthly fee so she gave me the keys to move it to my condo's parking spot in FL which was empty so no charge to her since November and she can get it as soon as she is well enough to drive again. As it turned out, she never needed her car again, sadly. The car had expired registration from 2012, car inspection was expired from 2011, insurance expired in June. So I was lucky enough to find someone to take it "as is" and I sent Mary's mom the full amount that I was able to get, and I checked Kelly's blue book and used their figures. Betty was happy and I was happy to do it or her. So as I got ready to sell it, I took out the CD's that were n the CD player, most of them unmarked, but there are 3 Who CD's 2 Broadway shows and when I listen to the unmarked CD's I will post what they are. Hopefully Stones bootlegs that I don't have! Anyway, that's my final Mary story, the car is sold and 100% of the money sent to Betty. She is happy and so am I. Mary, I hope you are happy that you trusted me with your car, it might have been worth a bit more it the AC was working but I had to deduct for the repairs, so  your mom got what it was worth and not a penny less. xo

I know Betty is relieved to have the car sold. It was worrying her.

You know, we lost Mary and then I got wrapped up in the Stones shows.
It wasn't until this week, when things started to calm down, and life is returning to "normal" that I'm really starting to mourn her loss.

I hate goodbyes.

I agree. They fought hard but were really like Brother and Sister and grew to love each other deeply.

After Mary passed away, Bob called me. He was distraught as was I. He wanted me to know that he was sending roses to the service. Then he started to laugh and said "We made a deal that whoever died first, the other would see to it that roses were on the grave. I don't think the florist will send a bouquet of dead flowers though".

This is shocking news.

RIP Bob. I will be forever grateful to you for all you did for Mary.

OMG I am so surprised about this! I met him a few times when I was visiting Mary when she was living with him in Fort Lauderdale. He was very sweet, bringing her the food that she liked and making sure she was eating enough, he even offered me some whenever I was there and he seemed in good health last year. Maybe he was suffering quietly and he was being brave for Mary's sake. I hope he gets some roses on his grave too. Sad. SO sorry to read this.
