************* JOEY NOW GIVES EULOGY *******************

My Joshy need not be idolized ;
Or enlarged at ' Shidobee ' beyond what he was at '  Rocks Off ' .
He IS to be remembered as a kind and decent man ;
A man who saw wrong and tried to right it  ...
Saw suffering and tried to heal it  ...
Saw War and tried to STOP it .

And those of us who loved him ** Young Joey's voice now cracking with visceral and heartfelt emotion *** ;
And who take him to his ' transition ' here today .
Know that what he was and what he stood for ;
Will someday come to pass for all the world .
As he said many times in many posts throughout the decades ;
" Some Men see message boards the way they are and say , ' Why ?!?! '  ..... ' WHY ?!?! ' .........
I dream of message boards that never were and say , ' WTF ?!?! ' !!!!!!!! "

I Thank You For Your time Today !

...cue chorus :

Has anybody here seen my old friend Joshy?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
You know, I just looked around and he's gone.

Anybody here seen my old friend John?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
I just looked around and he's gone.

Anybody here seen my old friend Martin?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
He freed a lot of people,
But it seems the good they die young.
I just looked 'round and he's gone.

Didn't you love the things that they stood for?
Didn't they try to find some good for you and me?
And we'll be free
Some day soon, and it's a-gonna be one day ...

Anybody here seen my old friend Bobby?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
I thought I saw him walk up over the hill,
With Joshy, Martin and John.

He's an idiot. Paul has had the same killer band for many years and doesn't use a ton of back up musicians like a lot of bands.

Edith  .............. ?!

Was Paul McCartney set up back in the year 1980  ?!   Did Yoko place a call to the Japanese Authorities at the Airport and have Macca busted in order to preserve John and her's  :    "  Japan Hotel Karma "  ?!  :

http://www.beatlesbible.com/1980/01/16/paul-mccartney-arrested-marijuana-possess...

" Paul McCartney is arrested in Japan for marijuana possession "

" Wings' 11-date tour of Japan was scheduled to run from 21 January to 2 February 1980. On this day Paul and Linda McCartney and their four children arrived in the country.
Paul McCartney's previous application for a Japanese visa had been turned down in 1976. This time he was allowed into the country as it was a brief tour.

Upon their arrival at Tokyo's Narita International Airport, however, customs officials found 219 grammes of marijuana, with a street value of 600,000 yen, hidden in Paul's luggage and inside the hood of one of his children.

McCartney was arrested, handcuffed and questioned for an hour by narcotics control officers. It was then decided that further questioning would take place the following day.

Now known as prisoner number 22, McCartney spent the night in the local jail. The rest of his family stayed in the Okura Hotel, along with Denny Laine, Laurence Juber and Steve Holley of Wings.

It's really very silly. People certainly are different over here. They take it so very seriously. Paul is now in some kind of detention place and I have not been allowed to see him. As soon as they get someone nice like Paul, they seem to make a field day of it!

I'll never come back to Japan again. It's my first trip and my last!
Linda McCartney
The arrest put the tour in jeopardy, and Wings' music was immediately banned from all television and radio stations across Japan.

Wings' Japanese promoters announced that a decision on the 11 concerts would be made the next day. On this evening they told reporters: Almost 100,000 tickets for the concerts have been sold, representing a possible loss of well over 100 million yen."

McCartney was imprisoned for a total of 10 days until 25 January 1980. He was released without charge and deported to England.

The other members of Wings had left Japan on 21 January. The dates of the tour were to have been Budokan Hall, Tokyo (21-24 January), Aichi-Ken, Taiiku-Kan, Nagoya (25-26 January), Festival Hall, Osaka (28 January), Osaka Furitsu-Kan, Osaka (29 January), Budokan Hall, Tokyo (31 January to 2 February).   "

'OUT THERE' JAPAN TOUR 2015 CONFIRMED

April 21: Kyocera Dome, Osaka
April 23: Tokyo Dome, Tokyo
April 25: Tokyo Dome, Tokyo
April 27: Tokyo Dome, Tokyo

General Ticket Sales: February 28th, 10:00AM (local)

By the end of 2014 and 18 months since its launch, Paul's incredible 'Out There' tour has been seen by almost two million people around the world. Paul and his band have performed a total of 63 shows in 11 different countries in venues of all different shapes and sizes. Each show on the tour has seen multi generational audiences from all different kinds of backgrounds come together to share in the incredible magic of a McCartney live show.

Last year for reasons beyond his control Paul was forced to cancel his Japanese tour dates. Today it is confirmed that Paul will bring his show back to Japan in April.

Speaking about the forthcoming shows Paul said:

"I can't wait to get back to Japan for some more great nights of rock n' roll and fun. We had such a great time on our trip in 2013 and we were so disappointed that we couldn't perform last year. I want to thank my fans for all the lovely messages you sent me. Looking forward to seeing you all very soon."

Paul McCartney gets back #OutThere in Japan

CLICK TO WATCH

The 'Out There' tour features music from one of the best loved catalogues in popular music. Paul will perform songs that span his entire career - as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course as a Beatle.  The set list will also include material from Paul's most recent studio album 'NEW', which was a global hit upon its release.

The McCartney live experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity; in just three hours some of the greatest moments from the last 50 years of music are relived; music which for many has shaped the very soundtrack of their lives. The last decade has seen Paul and his band perform in a staggeringly impressive range of venues and locations, including outside the Coliseum in Rome, in Moscow's Red Square, Buckingham Palace, at the White House, a free show in Mexico to over 400,000 people and even into Space! Having played with his band (Paul 'Wix' Wickens (keyboards), Brian Ray (bass guitar/guitar), Rusty Anderson (guitar) and Abe Laboriel Jr (drums)) for over ten years now, the show never disappoints.

The tour also uses state of the art technology and production to ensure the entire audience has the best possible experience. With massive screens, lasers, fireworks, unique video content and the best songs in the world, a Paul McCartney show is so much more than just an ordinary concert.   "

Rihanna has a new backup singer and guitarist: Paul McCartney
Reply #5667 - Feb 1st, 2015 at 2:17am

(Excuse me for not putting this on the Macca thread, but it doesn't
belong there. It belongs on a Rihanna thread)

There's a number of reasons I'm fascinated by Rihanna's new single,
only one of which is:

1) Paul's involvement, as co-writer and sole musician and background
singer.

2) Talk about stripped! Especially in this day and age. For most of
the song, it's only Paul's acoustic guitar. Then he plays organ on
the bridge. But only one instrument at a time.

3) Based on airplay, streaming and sales the track is already a
virtually assured Top 5 hit in the UK and USA. It's already #1 on
worldwide I-tunes. But will it be Rih's 14th USA #1 and Paul's 30th
(including Beatles and Wings)? Hope so.

4) How far it goes will probably be determined by how much it slays
Feb 9 at the Grammys. As well as how much it is boosted by the
upcoming video. (I've got a feeling that both at the Grammys and
on the vid, Paul will get a verse of his own, instead of just
singing background like on the single)

5) Here's the single "Four Five Seconds" on YouTube:

6) And here's the making-of-the-video video, with an important
fashion tip from Rihanna: "Wear denim. Denim never goes out of
style, like the fucking Beatles"

The Rihanna Kanye McCartney video is out, a very lovely
and simple black and white thing. But Paul does not get
a verse of his own.

Paul's announced for the Grammys doing this song.
It would be very weird if all he did there too was play
acoustic guitar.

Paul McCartney to perform in South Korea for first time

Paul McCartney will hold his first-ever concert in South Korea.

The former Beatle canceled his "Out There" stop in the country last year due to illness. He plans to perform in Seoul's Jamsil Baseball Stadium on May 2, Yonhap reported.

Hyundai Card, which attempted to bring McCartney to Korea last year, is again organizing the event with the music legend.

Hyundai Card CEO Ted Chung posted a link to an ad for the show on his Twitter Thursday.

McCartney is the composer of many of The Beatles' most-loved songs, including "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be," and was inducted into the Rock and Roll of Fame as a solo artist
