" Apparently Paul McCartney’s Candlestick Park Farewell Concert Was A Traffic Disaster  "

******************************************

" Hi

I got tickets to the show months ago. We left San Mateo at 6p.m. and didn’t get in to see the show at all. It was torture sitting in the car. There were several thousand people stuck in the gridlock. We left at 11 pm still not being able to get in. There were several parking lots with doors closed but we could see spots to park. This was THE most mismanaged show I have been to.

What happens to the over $300 we shelled out to see the show? Any idea who we can contact?

Being an ardent Sir Paul fan, I have seen his other shows but this one was a true disaster, waste of time. The only good thing was the camraderie of our fellow gridlock fans.

The authorities at Candlestick, the Mayor’s office and the organizers need to come forward and take full responsibility for this disaster.

Thanks  "

" Hot Tours: Paul McCartney Is No. 1 With Sold Out U.S. Tour "

" Paul McCartney earns the No. 1 slot on the weekly Hot Tours tally based on ticket sales reported from his recent trek through U.S. cities during July and August.

The six-week jaunt was the Out There tour's third leg in North America since the tour began in May 2014. With concerts at eight arenas and four stadiums during this summer's run, ticket sales totaled $38.7 million, bringing the overall gross to $150 million from 40 reported shows during the tour's 15-month span.

San Francisco's Candlestick Park is the Out There tour's top-grossing venue in this tally, with $7 million in sales from a crowd of 53,477 fans. It is also the highest gross from any North American venue during the tour's entire run. The sold-out performance on Aug. 14 was the final concert to be held at the famed Bay Area stadium that will soon be demolished. The event also marked McCartney's return to the site where the Beatles played their last official concert in 1966.

Three more stadiums were on the 2014 summer schedule for the Out There tour. McCartney also sold out Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Aug. 10 with more than $5.2 million in revenue from 52,605 sold seats. Target Field in Minneapolis hosted the legendary rocker on Aug. 2 with a packed stadium crowd of 43,143, and the performance at the University of Montana's Washington-Grizzly Stadium hit the record books as the largest concert in Montana history. His sold out show on Aug. 5 at the Missoula stadium drew 25,192 fans -- 1,423 more than the Rolling Stones concert on Oct. 4, 2006 during the band's A Bigger Bang tour

Joey, why is jb nervous?

The French newspaper Nice-Matin has a report out today with details from a visit to Rivera Studios in Nice, where it says U2 has been shooting a video since Tuesday.

Here's the original article in French, and here's a link to the Google translation. I'll highlight some of the English phrases from that translation:

"dozens of trucks filled with music equipment and spotlights"
"huge platform raised in the heart of Studio 1"
"surreal deployment of security personnel [with] British accents"
"they [U2] arrived here around 11am on Tuesday"

The article also mentions restrictions about using mobile phones and one studio employee comparing the scene to a visit by President Obama for the G20 (in 2011). It also says that a caterer is due to be on site through August 18.

50 Years Ago: Bob Dylan Introduces the Beatles to Marijuana
by Jeff Giles August 28, 2014

...
Larry Ellis, Hulton Archive / Keystone, Getty Images

The mid-to-late ’60s saw the Beatles morphing from mop-topped pop stars into Nehru jacket-wearing mystics — a transformation that may have started on Aug. 28, 1964, when Bob Dylan introduced the Fab Four to the joys of smoking marijuana.

The Beatles Bible looks back on the event, which took place in the band’s suite at the Delmonico Hotel in New York, with a series of quotes from people who were there, including Beatles associate Peter Brown, John Lennon, George Harrison and Paul McCartney.

When Dylan — who was still a couple of years away from exhorting everyone to get stoned in ‘Rainy Day Women #12 & 35′ — arrived at the hotel, he asked for some wine, which the band sent road manager Mal Evans to procure. While Evans was away, Dylan suggested sparking up. As Harrison later recalled, the band had actually tried pot a few years before, but it hadn’t made much of an impression; as he put it, “Everybody was saying, ‘This stuff isn’t doing anything.’ It was like that old joke where a party is going on and two hippies are up floating on the ceiling, and one is saying to the other, ‘This stuff doesn’t work, man.’”

Clearly, Dylan was packing more potent stuff. But before he started rolling up, manager Brian Epstein revealed the band’s lack of experience with the drug, provoking an incredulous response from Dylan, who’d misheard the line “I can’t hide” in ‘I Want to Hold Your Hand’ as “I get high.” Which is exactly what the stars proceeded to do. Lennon later recalled, “I don’t remember much what we talked about. We were smoking dope, drinking wine and generally being rock ‘n’ rollers and having a laugh, you know, and surrealism. It was party time.”

McCartney, however, had a more detailed record of the evening, thanks to his insistence that Evans follow him around with a pencil and paper, writing down everything he said. Believing he was “thinking for the first time,” he said, “I’d been going through this thing of levels, during the evening. And at each level I’d meet all these people again. ‘Ha ha ha! It’s you!’ And then I’d metamorphose on to another level.”

But McCartney’s drug-fueled breakthrough didn’t amount to much in the morning. “Mal gave me this little slip of paper in the morning, and written on it was, ‘There are seven levels!’” he later remembered. “Actually it wasn’t bad. Not bad for an amateur. And we pissed ourselves laughing. I mean, ‘What the f—’s that? What the f— are the seven levels?’ But looking back, it’s actually a pretty succinct comment. It ties in with a lot of major religions, but I didn’t know that then.”

CONCERT NOTES
from Laura Waskin, Macca Reporter

Paul performed to a sold out crowd ( 125 K  ) at Petco stadium. His vocals were a bit rough up to "Listen To What The Man Said" but after that were fine.

During "Maybe I'm Amazed" Wix was making silly gestures including holding his throat to make Paul laugh.

After "Maybe I'm Amazed," Paul commented "... my baby in my jacket there, (photo of Mary) now has four babies of her own." The crowd really went wild after this song. Paul seemed really touched.

The crowd seemed unfamiliar with any of Paul's recent material.

During "Here Today," the Paul's guitar made a funny "zzzang!" almost like a boing type of sound twice with one of the strings during the song. Was a bit weird! I guess the string maybe needed tightening or something, as it was fine by the next song he used it for.

After "We Can Work it Out, "Paul read a couple of the signs: "Can I touch your Hofner?" Pau made a face showing he definitely wouldn't allow it, or was there a double entendre there also? Another sign said "Can you sign my butt?"

Also at one point during the show, Paul mentioned the fact that his wife Nancy had lived in San Diego.

In general, Paul looked great and rested though he was not jumping or moving around as much on stage.  "

" Paul McCartney tops concert list, honors Buddy Holly, meets with George's sister  "

" Paul McCartney's Petco Park concert in San Diego is at the top of the latest Billboard Boxscore list, released Oct. 3, of best concerts at the box office. According to the chart, the concert grossed $4,968,567 from a sold out crowd of 45,352.

McCartney, who has acknowledged Buddy Holly as one of his musical influences on many occasions through the years, paid tribute to him during his set at the United Spirit Arena Oct. 2. McCartney performed the song “It's So Easy,” which he also sang on the 2011 Buddy Holly tribute album “Rave On.” The album featured a diverse lineup that included Nick Lowe, Graham Nash, John Doe, The Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, Kid Rock and Lou Reed. McCartney also owns Holly's music publishing.

Lubbock Online said he told several stories relating to Holly, including the fact that the Beatles' name was chosen, in part, because Holly's band, the Crickets, also used the name of an insect. The site also said the show started 50 minutes late because McCartney's jet had been delayed by storms.

Here's the full set Lubbock list as reported by McCartney's press office. Unlike the abbreviated Tobin Center show, this one was full length: “Eight Days a Week,” “Save Us,” “All My Loving,” “Listen to What the Man Said.” “Paperback Writer,” “My Valentine,” “Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five,” “The Long and Winding Road,” “Maybe I'm Amazed,” “I've Just Seen a Face,” “It's So Easy” (new), “We Can Work It Out,” “Another Day,” “And I Love Her.”

Next was “Blackbird,” “Here Today,” “NEW,” “Queenie Eye,” “Lady Madonna,” “All Together Now,” “Lovely Rita,” “Everybody Out There,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite,” “Something,” “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da,” “Band on the Run.” “Back in the U.S.S.R.,” “Let It Be,” “Live and Let Die” and “Hey Jude.”

In the first encore, he sang “Day Tripper,” “Hi Hi Hi” and “Get Back.” The second encore featured “Yesterday,” “Helter Skelter,” “Golden Slumbers”/“Carry That Weight”/“The End.

Reunion: Louise Harrison, George's sister, met up with Paul McCartney backstage at the Petco Park show in San Diego, according to Marty Scott, who plays George Harrison in the Liverpool Legends, the Beatles tribute group that Louise appears with. "Louise Harrison and I got to meet with Paul again this weekend in San Diego. He was as nice and gracious as ever," he wrote on Facebook. "Backstage with us was Linda Mccartney's sister Laura (who was very sweet) and also Wings guitar player Lawrence Juber and his lovely wife Hope. What a great time and the show was AMAZING.”

Chart update: In the Oct. 11 Billboard magazine released Oct. 4, two Beatles albums sit on the latest Vinyl Albums chart: “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' is at #9 (number 9, number 9), while “Revolver” is at #12. The Beatles are also on the Soundtrack albums chart with “Magical Mystery Tour” at #19 and “A Hard Day's Night” at #24.  "

PAUL'S LATE ARRIVAL IN LUBBOCK

CLICK TO WATCH

There was no sound check because Paul's plane didn't land in Lubbock until 6:15pm because of bad weather in San Antonio. The plane was temporarily grounded until the bad weather cleared out.

Local TV station KCBD got the first interview with Paul.

During the drive by interview, Paul described his visit to Lubbock as a "lifelong dream" to visit the "birthplace of my hero."

He said Buddy Holly meant "A lot," and that he was "a big, big influence on the beginning of The Beatles."

The interview had to be cut short, because Paul was so late for his show.

THE CONCERT

The concert started 50 minutes later at 8:50pm because of Paul's late arrival. It was speculated that Paul would shorten the setlist, but Paul did a full concert set with the addition of Buddy Holly's "It's So Easy." He talked several times during the night about Buddy's influence on The Beatles.

Paul called up two women to sign tattoos on their arms.

McCartney fan has signature tattooed on her arm

When Beth Ferrara from Los Angeles and her best friend Brittany Chipman from Dallas got tickets to the Paul McCartney concert in Lubbock, they had a plan.

They formed it by listening to a joke McCartney makes at many of his concerts about the fans' posters.

"He says, 'I'm not going to sign your butt,'" Chipman said, "but no one's poster says 'Sign my butt.'"

Out came the poster boards and markers, where Chipman wrote "Sign my butt! (just kidding) Sign my friend!" with an arrow on her poster pointing to Ferrara's sign, which read "I'm the friend! Please Paul, sign me for my only tattoo!"

These posters would be the only ingredients needed for the onstage moment of a lifetime.

"He thought it was pretty funny," Ferrara said, "and he ended up bringing us onstage and doing what we asked for, which was not to actually sign her butt, but to sign me for a tattoo. She got signed as well."

Ferrara has loved McCartney since she was a young girl, and said it was a dream come true to finally meet him.

Chipman said Ferrara got emotional when two security guards told them to join McCartney onstage.

"She started crying," Chipman said, "and I told her to calm down."

McCartney signed both of their arms, but only Brittany's will wash off.

"The memory of being on stage." she said. "You just can't top it, so I'm okay with not having it permanent."

Beth went to Inkfluence, a tattoo shop in Lubbock, to make sure hers will stay forever.

"I can't believe I'm here," Beth said inside Inkfluence. "Everything just came together."

McCartney's signature will be Beth's first and last tattoo, she said.

"I mean, it hurts," she said. "It doesn't feel good."

Even though Chipman just wanted Ferrara in the spotlight, Beth is glad she had her best friend with her every step of the way.

"I'm the happiest girl on the planet right now," Ferrara said as the artist finished her tattoo.  "

Paul McCartney's career-spanning New Orleans concert celebrated the old and the 'New'

Five songs into Paul McCartney's marathon at New Orleans' Smoothie King Center on Saturday (Oct. 11), he hauled out an invaluable rock 'n' roll relic: The guitar he used on The Beatles' recording of "Paperback Writer." It was not encased in protective glass, or handled with white gloves. Instead, McCartney used it for its intended purpose: He played it. By the song's conclusion, he had it up against an amplifier, howling with feedback.

For three hours, he treated his songs a staggering 39 of them, spanning his entire 50-year career just like that guitar: Not as sacrosanct museum pieces, but as rock 'n' roll raw material meant to be manipulated and played, preferably by a band as lean and virile as his.

If anyone could rest on his laurels, it is Paul McCartney. He co-authored arguably the greatest catalog of late-20th century popular music. He is fabulously wealthy, yet consistently gracious and engaged. He has dealt with personal and professional trauma, yet maintained his dignity in public. And he is 72 years old.

Yet Sir Paul refuses to rest, on his laurels or elsewhere. He continues to globetrot, presiding over epics that might give that other rock 'n' roll marathoner, Bruce Springsteen, pause. (In addition to Saturday's three-hour concert, McCartney also banged out an hour-long sound check that afternoon, which reportedly featured "Ram," "Jet" and other songs he didn't include in the "official" concert.)

He obviously still delights in making music and making an audience happy. "You want some more?" he asked Saturday, already 33 songs deep into the show. "OK, me too." He meant it.

Perhaps most tellingly, he is determined to intermingle the old with the "New," his aptly titled and well-received 2013 album. After leading his band onto the sleek but not ostentatious stage at 8:30 p.m. with smiles, waves, and upraised thumbs, he launched "Eight Days a Week," the urgent "New" cut "Save Us," and "All My Loving'." Later, "Lovely Rita" and "Eleanor Rigby" bookended the "New" song "Everybody Out There." The message was clear: He considers his new music worthy of standing alongside his classics. (The Beatles-esque "New" title track, at least, certainly is; "Queenie Eye," a song inspired by a childhood game, maybe not as much.)

After more than a decade together, he, lead guitarist Rusty Anderson, drummer Abe Laboriel, Jr., guitarist/bassist Brian Ray and keyboardist Paul "Wix" Wickens are as much of a band as a band of equals-except-one can be. They are a finely honed unit not afraid to get their hands dirty, as in the "Foxy Lady" coda tacked onto the raucous Wings track "Let Me Roll It," a mass of sleazy guitars and slinky organ fills.

All four bandmates dressed up arrangements with details. They stacked sunburst harmonies in "Paperback Writer." Laboriel, in addition to continuously tumbling over his drums with loose-limbed strikes, slipped the "a-hah-hah" laugh into the background of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da." Wickens inserted a kazoo into "Lovely Rita" and draped accordion over "We Can Work It Out." Anderson's many highlights ranged from his flamenco-tinged solo in "My Valentine," to his letter-perfect "Maybe I'm Amazed" electric solo, to his extra flourishes in a full-bore "Back in the U.S.S.R."

McCartney, meanwhile, alternated his trademark Hofner bass, electric guitars, six- and 12-string acoustic guitars, ukulele, electric piano and grand piano. His voice has lost very little of its range or dexterity. He nailed the scalded lines in "Maybe I'm Amazed" and "Helter Skelter" as well as the falsetto in "Blackbird" and the delicate "And I Love Her."

He dug up deeper cuts, such as the country-tinted "I've Just Seen a Face," released on the British edition of "Help!" but the American edition of "Rubber Soul"; "All Together Now," from the "Yellow Submarine" soundtrack; "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!," one of the less-familiar titles on "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"; his early solo single "Another Day"; and "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five," from Wings' "Band on the Run."

He saluted the women in his life. He dedicated "My Valentine," from his 2012 album "Kisses on the Bottom," to current wife Nancy Shevell, who was in attendance. He acknowledged writing "Maybe I'm Amazed" for his late first wife, Linda. (Not surprisingly, ex-wife Heather Mills didn't merit a mention, much less a song.)

Personable and chatty, he filled the moments between songs with stories and crowd interaction. Shedding his jacket, he announced, would be "the one and only wardrobe change of the whole evening." He asked how many people in the audience had tried to decipher "Blackbird" on guitar.

Big cheer.

"How cool does that make me feel?" And then: "You all got it wrong."

He summoned a 14-year-old fan to the stage whose banner proclaimed that her father believed she was too young for a tattoo, but she'd love to have a hug from McCartney. He both agreed with her father and gave her a hug, along with an autograph on the copy of "Sgt. Pepper's" she happened to have with her.

Given his history, resume and the opportunities it has afforded him, he's got some great stories. Like the time he went to see Jimi Hendrix in London two days after "Sgt. Pepper's" came out, and was flattered that Hendrix had already learned to play it (but had to ask Eric Clapton to come out of the audience and retune his guitar). Or the time he played Moscow's Red Square ("the Ruskies were rockin' ") and met the head of the Russian defense ministry "a really good job, you know?" who said the first record he ever bought was "Love Me Do."

He clearly knew where he was. He noted that "Listen to What the Man Says" was recorded in New Orleans at Allen Toussaint's SeaSaint studio for the 1975 Wings album "Venus and Mars." He recalled costuming for that year's Mardi Gras as a clown that wasn't as incognito as he'd hoped. He threw out admirably enunciated local catchphrases ("How's ya mama and dem?" "Where y'at, darlin'?" "Who Dat!"). The city's music gets all the attention, he said, "but the people in New Orleans are very special."

He rendered the first half of George Harrison's "Something" alone on ukulele, just as he'd once done at Harrison's house; black-and-white images of the pair, with varying degrees of facial hair, flashed on video screens. The full band fell in just in time for Anderson to replicate Harrison's electric guitar solo. A joyous "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" and a brash "Band on the Run" followed, in one of the show's strongest segments.

As impressive as was the bombast the literal and musical pyrotechnics of "Live and Let Die," the brazen guitars and howls of "Helter Skelter" -- the quiet moments underscored the real power of McCartney and his music. He wrote "Blackbird" at the height of Civil Rights era's unrest, as a sort of balm. Alone on an elevated platform, he finger-picked an acoustic guitar, holding the arena rapt. "Here Today," an imagined conversation with John Lennon recorded barely two years after his death, was presented the same way, with similarly emotional results.

"Let It Be" ended up almost too intense; a lovely, more restrained "Yesterday" featured only McCartney's acoustic guitar and Wickens' synthesized strings. For "Carry That Weight," near the close, McCartney, Anderson and Ray stood side-by-side, trading guitar licks, looking and sounding like a very good band with a very special frontman.

McCartney's long and winding road won't go on forever. But he's determined to travel as long and as far as possible, while still hauling around his enormous legacy. On Saturday, he carried that weight well.  "

CONCERT NOTES:

Paul's last concert of the year concluded at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil. Though the setlist did not contain any new songs for this last show, there was a very moving moment during "Let It Be". Paul's production crew and staff stood in front of the stage facing Paul and held up signs with one letter printed on each. The signs together read, "Love is all that matters in the end." An emotional moment for Paul and his crew.

Three women were brought onstage during the first encore.

'You Gave Me The Answer' - Lily Cole Asks Q & A

Fans will have seen that on Wednesday November 19th Paul sat down with Lily Cole and a small group of musicians from her Impossible website to discuss his forthcoming new single 'Hope For The Future' and share his thoughts about songwriting. Paul chatted with Lily and the invite-only audience for 45 minutes, taking several questions from the musicians in attendance. (Pssst we'll be posting the full transcript from the Q&A soon!)

As you might imagine, a room made up of musicians had a great number of things they wanted to ask Paul! So after the talk finished we spoke with them and took note of a few more questions. Later that day, Paul kindly sat down with us to answer them.

Today we publish the first of these questions for November's 'You Gave Me The Answer'. To make it even more exciting, we asked Lily Cole to read out three of the questions sent in via Twitter. Watch the video of Lily asking the questions below:

Would you like to find out where the characters 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Polythene Pam' came from? Or which lyrics Paul is currently enjoying singing on tour? Read on

Question: Did Paul and John ever talk about the characters inside their songs and try to get them as real as possible?

Paul: "Some of them you would talk about, some of them didn't have a provenance; we just made them up. They didn't come from anywhere.

"But there would be all sorts of examples - like 'Polythene Pam' - who was someone John had known. There was a wild night somewhere and this girl was dressed in a lot of polythene [laughs], so she was known as 'Polythene Pam'. So she was real, baby! And, you know, I'd like to have been a fly on that wall! So she came from somewhere.

''Eleanor Rigby' came from a combination of old ladies I'd known when I was a kid. It was sort of a cross between wanting to do good work, but at the same time a fascination by these older people who had gone through stuff, that I hadn't. For some reason or another I was drawn to those people.

"There was a woman who lived near me in 20 Forthlin Road, where I used to go and get her shopping for her, just because I was on my way to the shops. I'd just drop in, I knew her. So we became pretty good friends and she was a sort of lonely old lady. But I found out things like she had a little crystal radio set, which fascinated me, because people in the war made their own little radios, "What! You can make a radio?! Brilliant!" So she would be part of the 'Eleanor Rigby' thing. I would occasionally meet other lonely old ladies, so they kind of became 'Eleanor Rigby' too.

"Some of the people mostly they were made up - but some of them did actually come from somewhere.

'''Father McKenzie' in 'Eleanor Rigby' was going to be Father McCartney. I had [sings to the tune of 'Eleanor Rigby'] 'Father McCartney, do do do do do'. And I said, 'I've got to change that.' And John said, 'No, it'll be great! Father McCartney!' I said, 'No, it's like my Dad! I can't relate to it'. So we got the phonebook out, we just went: 'McCartney, McCartney, McCartney, McCartney, McKenzie!'"

PaulMcCartney.com: "There are many stories about where the name Eleanor Rigby came from, is that someone's name?"

Paul: "It's a strange thing because there is actually a gravestone up in the churchyard of the church, St Peter's in Woolton - where John and I met on the fateful day of the fete - which apparently says 'Eleanor Rigby'. So the idea is, subliminally, I might have seen it because I would have walked through that graveyard, just as kids getting from A to B.

"But my theory - of what I can remember of it - was that I liked the name Eleanor, because we'd worked with Eleanor Bron, the actress in the film 'Help'. But I wanted to have a second name. Names are very important because, you know, like school kids, all the names are authentic. If you think back to any of your school mates - Grace Pendleton was one of my school mates it works! All those real names; and you can make up 'Charlie Farnsbarn' and it just, it doesn't work as well. It's an interesting little thing, names.

"So I was really searching around for Eleanor's second name. And I was in Bristol, visiting my then girlfriend - Jane Asher, who was working at Bristol Old Vic - and I was wondering around waiting for her to finish and I saw this shop: 'Rigby'. And I thought [clicks fingers] 'Perfect! Eleanor Rigby'. A real, nice name. It's sort of original, and yet not too far out. It just sort of fitted.

"So that's my story. But as I say later, a guy - Geoff Wonfor doing The Beatles Anthology said, 'We've found this gravestone, what do you think about that?'"

PaulMcCartney.com: "So the name might have already been buried somewhere in your mind, and then you made that connection?"

Paul: "I wonder. I don't know. My story, I definitely know is true. The other story's a little bit spooky. A 'subconscious theory'!"

Question: Do you still like all the lyrics you wrote in the past, and are there any that you don't like anymore? And, of course, I want to know why if the answer is no!

Paul: "There are lyrics I'm embarrassed by. Like in 'Rockshow' - references to 'axe' and Jimmy Page they seem a little bit dated. But they are. That's exactly what they are.

"What made me less embarrassed was when I said this to a couple of the guys in the band, Rusty and Brian particularly. I said, 'Oh my god, I can't stand that - An axe! Jimmy Page!'. I'm going, 'Oh God, it just doesn't seem right now, it seems embarrassing'. They said, 'No, I love that!'

"So it was great. I got their perspective on it, and it sort of made it alright that they didn't think it was remotely embarrassing."

PaulMcCartney.com: "We know people who still call their guitars 'axes'!"

Paul: "It's a period thing. You don't really call them that now. But you did then. So that was the embarrassing thing."

Question: What are your personal favourite lyrics you've ever written?

Paul: "There's some nice things about doing the live show now. I kind of run through the lyrics - in my mind - to sing them. So 'Eleanor Rigby' is nice, 'Wearing a face that she keeps in a jar by the door'. I sort of think, 'Pretty good work for a 23 year old boy!' Something like that I think, 'Yeah, that's really nice'. So I like that.

"Currently I'm liking 'Another Day'. It's just very sort of regular life of this girl. [Sings verse 'Everyday she takes her morning bath'.] It's just all what a girl might do: 'Wraps a towel around her as she's heading for the bedroom chair'. And then she goes to the office, has a coffee, finds it hard to stay awake, and it all just seems to ring true to me. But it's just another day.

"So yeah, I'd single those two out as ones that I like."
