I have no trouble with this one, it was '64, I was keeping scrapbooks of well 'known people in the media,  (from t.V. Shows, & a lot from The Beatles) & I still have them!! I'll always remember my First Rolling Stone picture, it was this one.

On video. The '81 live version of "Satisfaction", about five years later. I was six and thought they were dangerous and bad.

had to probably be the cover of Out Of Our Heads when it was new. I was 5 or 6.

I got in a lot of trouble over that one. I was only allowed to ride my bike in front of our house and the next door neighbors. I was the adventurous type and went all the way down 6 houses to the end of the street.

When i got there i heard some music that blew me away coming from the next street over (i think it was The Last Time). one of the kids that lived at the house was one of my oldest freinds from school (I was an old timer, both kindergarden and 1st grade). i snuck over there and asked his older brother if i could borrow it.

I got in all kinds of trouble for going off our street, but i had to keep going back to hear it and borrow it. after a year or so he gave it to me.

I really don't remember the first picture I saw of them.  They were just always around.  I think I began to notice them when a show called, Heroes of Rock N Roll came on sometime in the late 70's.  I remember it showed the press conference from 69 when the reporter asked if they were any more satisfied now.  They also showed the Stones on Shindig performing Satisfaction where they bleeped out "make some girl".  Obviously that got my attention, because I wondered what Mick was saying.  So, needless to say, that is what stands out in my memory.

Great replys's., The only reason I remember, cause in those days, it was The Dave Clark 5, & all those teenybooper bands , The Stones were different, & they introduced  The Yardbirds, Them (from Ireland with Van Morrison) The Pretty Things & later on The Who.

I don't remember a first photo, but my earliest memory of seeing the Stones as a kid was the Waiting on A Friend video on MTV.

I remember loving how "real" it seemed with Keith walking along to meet Mick -- and seeing Mick windmill his way up to the little bar stage.

Wow, some of you are just young-ans... Wink

The first pic I remember was on the back of a 16 magazine, probably in '64. I just remember that they are outside, walking abreast---a color photo. Brian had on a white sweater and black pants. The others were nicely dressed. But none of them were smiling {of course!} and I had heard about them---and I was just a bit scared.  Wink Eric Burdon was the other one who seemed scary to me. I was enthralled.....but a bit scared.

I can't remember but I'm sure it was photo in a picture sleeve in 1964-1965; my brother who introduced me to the Stones music had some picture sleeves 7" and then LPs; no magazines of other source so it was a picture sleeve

At a guess, I'd say the debut LP photo by David Bailey. My dad had it on cassette and its certainly my first musical memory of the Stones.

Probably the cover of "Through the Past, Darkly," but the first ones I really *looked at* were the front and back covers of "Get Yer Ya-ya's Out," which made me buy the album.  ("Wait...That's not the singer on the cover...")
