Who's birthday is it?

Bob's late mother, according to a poster at Expecting Rain.
Beatrice Stone Zimmerman, b. 6/16/15.

Wow. Interesting that he's chosen to do it now, but never before - she died in 2000.

Bingo!!!  I tried to find the day of her birth last night but couldn't, only the year.  I thought of her immediately though when I saw the set-list.  I also think he's "talking/referring" to her in "Nettie Moore".   I can believe it's for her.

Indeed.

Guess it wasn't for his mom.
Another poster at ER posted a pic of Beatrice's tombstone - DOB 6/13/15.

I was flipping channels & I heard a bit of Bob off Modern Times. It turns out that his song was featured in one of Lohan's recent flops, Georgia Rule. Can't remember the actual song as I had already flipped to a better flick.

cheers Martha - just returned from a wonderful ,chilled-out, relaxing, sun-drenched weekend in a very hot, Southern France. Cool

Toulouse is a beautiful mini-city, and is to be recommended for a 3-4 day city break.

Good food, good wine, great weather....oh, and the Bob concert was STUNNING.  Fuck you Gazza, Will ya?

I was blessed to get 'Simple Twist' - and yes, it was played beautifully. Smiley

My other highlight of the set, was a gem of a, 'Nettie Moore'...but really, the entire show was great....as was the t-shirt and the tour poster, and the post-concert beer. Let's go get drunk

...the only thing missing, was sharing such a great show, with some of you guys. Smiley

Those of you attending the upcoming U.S shows, are in for a treat.  Fuck you Gazza, Will ya?

Ade I would LOVE to meet you at a Bob show.  Wish you could come over here for the 4 I am hitting in August.  Just got my Park City tickies a moment ago.  I am so ready to see Bob again....but also I feel I've never left him since the Texas 3-pack in February.  Then my second favorite Bob sends me the shows from the tour (due to my ignorance of downloading) and I am spinning those to keep in the groove...it works so well! Wink  Also I live on Theme Time Radio Hour each Wednesday when XMX plays 2 shows over a 24 hour period.  I never knew I could have my cake and eat it too, life is GOOD!

I have good music news to share....I got extra, extra lucky and got 2 tickets on Friday afternoon for the Robert Plant Alison Krauss gig at Red Rocks Saturday night.  It had been sold-out for months and I'd been trying for months (only at Txbastard) to get in.  I can't tell you all how great the show was.....otherwordly comes to mind....and Robert threw in "I'm In the Mood (for a Melody)" which sent me over the beautiful orange moon that rose right as the show came to an end.  Red Rocks is the most gorgeous venue on this earth.  Come here rock lovers!

So glad Bob rocked your world Ade.  I certainly know what that feels like.....like nothing else.  Cheers to you my friend!

xxxooo,
Martha
