Shine A Light on DVD

Perhaps a silver DVD of the Forum '75 show if I can find it as I had problems burning the torrent on dual layer.

Got all the official released BUT most are the original issues from the mid eighties. Do the 2002 reissues sound better?....... is it worth spending the $$$ to replace my original issues???

i bought 2-3 of these and i do believe they sound a tad better.  they come in cardboard form, the same cover as the album.  they seem to have more of a full sound.
try one out and see for yourself before making the plunge.

It'll be out long before that as its cinema run is pretty much over.

August/September release as far as I know. Certainly no later.

Since I have all the official releases, I always look for the RS singles on CD. They are hard to find so whenever I see any, I grab it! So far I only have Rain Fall Down, Out of Tears, and Jump on Top of Me. There are lots of others but who knows where they exist anymore. And I look for vinyl singles and albums too. Those are more common, but still rare to find, I check garage sales and second hand stores for these items.

The DVD release should be coming in a couple of months, they can wait for a late fall release too for better sales.

This mail order shop may be a bit pricey as its based in the UK, Ellen - but if theres something you're specifically looking for, it might be useful

I don't buy CDs.

Ever since I finally acquired a mono Satanic Majesties LP, I have been pretty much done with the hunt.  I guess I wouldn't mind a mono UK Let It Bleed LP (is that true mono or folded stereo?  who knows?  anyone?) or a super cherry original Welcome to New York LP - mine is second state.  Or a Leed Lungs LP.

Anyone got any of those for ten bucks?

I'd also take an I Don't Know Why 45, now that I think about it.

But I wouldn't pay 10 for it.

Man Ive bought every title 3-4 times as they were "re-mastered". I still have multiple boots on my full hard drive I havent burned yet.But when SAL DVD is released Im grabbin it.Its interesting to note that the Bigger Bang dvd's have some special protection to not allow copying. I still copy movies freely with DVD Shrink or Decrypter but they wont work on ABB dvd.

Just got "Discover Stones", a nice Japanese vinyl - still in shrink, allthough it's 25 years old...or something like that. I hardly buy CDs anymore - it's either vinyl or CDRs for free.

I'll buy a new Stones disc if it follows this format:

"Side One"
T1 - Original
T2 - Hot Cover
T3 - Hot Cover
T4 - Hot Cover
T5 - Original

"Side Two"
T1 - Original
T2 - Hot Cover
T3 - Original
T4 - Hot Cover
T5 - Original

Title: THE LAST TIME

Since the primary release will be on CD, There will actually be two originals back-to-back at the center of the design.  A short pause may be inserted to simulate the "Two-sided" format.  But no punched-in needle-drop sound effects, please, boys.  That shit was old by the time Paul Weller discovered it, on Stanley Road.

One of the Hot Covers - perhaps on "Side One" - could be a remake of an 1960's Stones cover (or original!)  But not "The Last Time."  Maybe "Time is on my Side," which belongs back in the live setlist, as does "Heart of Stone."

This is the way to go out in style, gents.

Jane Rose, Michael Cohl, Mick Jagger - I'm talkin' to you.

The Stones very first album, I used to have it on vinyl, but i want to get it on C.D. I'll make Allen Klein a happy man, which I hate, that bastard owns the rights to their London years, & if there's any videos on Youtube download them now, cause Klein will delete them, up to '69 that is. :howefun
