Never knew there was a town in England called Stone. On checking, theres actually three.

One in Buckinghamshire, one in Staffordshire...and one in Kent...just outside (get this), Dartford.

seriously. i was born in the one that is just n of birmingham. i believe it was the one in kent which i guess is the county. is there countys in england?...its been awhile. way back in 1962

yes.

If its just north of Birmingham, it would be the one in Staffordshire. It's in the area known as the West Midlands.

Buckinghamshire and Kent are further south and closer to London.

Yeah kind of. The last photo is one the very few mills remaining in the area. Its is the same as the cemetery scene in the Deer Hunter. Clairton PA.

Correction---The mill secene was used in the Deer Hunter, but it was not the cemetery scene.
