Keith really is a fucking ball buster. He picks on Jimmy Page all the time and now Bowie. 

Why can't we all just get along?

Although to be honest, how many of us can't stand people in our peer group?  Keith is into the blues cats and not much of his peer group outside of Clapton and Harrision get his respect.

     Am I on the right board?  I thought this was a Rolling Stones board, and not a David Bowie one.   I don't care for Bowie either, and can see where Keith is coming from.  In terms of actual importance to rock/music history, Bowie isn't fit to hold Keef's jock strap!  Bowie is more a media creation then actual substance, IMO.  Now Keith dissing on Jimmy Page is something I DON'T agree with.     That said, I LOVE it that he'll express his opinion and that no one can influence it!

Keith is being honest, but honestly i don't give a fuck about what he thinks about Bowie or anyone.
As Otis used to sing "action speaks louder than words", I want a new solo album, with or without the Winos, not another interview.

He might just be bitter and jealous of other musicians because he knows his performance abilities have gone way down while others have aged relatively well. Slagging them just helps him release his frustrations.

Although Keith is a man I always admired, I believe he was not thinking straight when he slamed Bowie. Sure, different music and style but Bowie is one of a kind. Often imitated but never equaled - always a true original. Truly a unique artist. I wish Keith would have think twice before yapping away such nonsense. Yeah, definitly, that comment made him sound like a bitter old man... Keith, i still look up to you, but, sincerely, you should zip it sometime.

He made a load of money selling off the rights to his catalog in the late '90's and then the 2003-2004 tour grossed around a hundred million with a small production and without having to split the take. There have been no divorces or paternity suits the last few decades.

All the lists are estimates but the estimates coming out in the late '90's - early '00 put him way up in the upper echelons alongside McCartney and Elton John.

He ain't hurting for money and doesn't have any reason to be jealous. And his sporadic touring is personal choice, not lack of booking opportunities.

He founded Ultrastar which admisters fan clubs and fan club websites and which was used by the Stones in 2002/2003 so he is even making money off them.
