I regret to say that I was in the parking lot inhaling nitrous during Traffic's set (at RFK in DC) that year.  Apparently I missed a lot.

Did you see Phil Lesh and Friends a few years ago when they covered that song?  That may have been the best cover I have ever heard.  I have a boot somewhere.  Let me look for it.

Hell yeah! Warren Haynes used to crush that with P&F.
It's on one of those free sbd's that Phil used to post - 10.27.00

They also did a nice take on 'Low Spark'.

'Mr. Fantasy' was also a Brent staple with The Dead from the late 80's on...

I never heard their take on "Low Spark".   I could imagine how it sounded though.  Damn, I'm new to this downloading thing. I cannot log on to dime or any other sites.   I guess I missed the boat.

Didn't they tear it down like a bazillion years ago? Sometime in the 90's? I saw Macca on his world tour there on July 4, 1990. Me and 99,999 other people.... Roll Eyes

You may be thinking of JFK in Philly.  RFK in DC is still there.

I saw Traffic open for the Dead in Buckeye Lake, OH end of July 1994.  They sounded great.  Then the front came through, temps dropped 20 degrees and a downpour began.  The Dead opened with 'Rain', then 'Cold Rain And Snow', then 'Looks Like Rain'...the novelty quickly wore off...we were cold, drenched, without shelter....my wife left during the fourth song, I stuck it out to the set break then bailed--the only time I ever left a concert before the final note...

Gloo 99 Dylan opener.  My first time for Phil.

I was also at the Station Square show.  I have not made it there yet.  I still have the 99 show blasting.
