This seems like a real waste of time to me. If our posts are up in the archive, anyone with any real interest in the "history" of RO will be able to see who posted what when and where, and anyway at this point the hierarchy is already beginning to reestablish itself.
If it was decided that post count reestablishfication was important, you shouldn't have to go to all the trouble of opening the old board. In fact, have you tried putting any of the old RO pages up on your website? When I did a test page from my old board, you could still read post counts and stats at the bottom of a user's profile, so the proof is right there.
I firmly believe that you should be judged by the content of your posts, not the number by your name.
Seems like your time is better spent learning how to improve/maximize this board, getting the archives up (that's gonna take a minute), making new emoticons, taking crazy drugs, or hanging with your lovely family. Because, IMHBCO, lamenting lost post counts is
