The Stones are their own best cover band.
I heard the Robinson brothers on Howard Stern and they sounded great...Looks like they are playing all the sheds next summer...I have seen them only in small clubs with the exception of the Brotherly Love Tour with Oasis... They would play 3-4 nites at the 9:30 club in DC every year or two...even once at the old 9:30 which was crazy fun... |

I spoke a for some time with the photographer before the M & G. I said to him you should persuade the boys to play Rocks Off. He said to me I’ve seen the setlist and smiled. But not said Rocks Off was on it. So to my believe: “They played Rocks Off for me” Yes, I know better of course, but don’t spoil the Goats Head Soup for me 8-) |

I happened to film a bit of the soundcheck in Bochum. They played without Chris on the speakers the song It Means A Lot. They’re listening to it. And later jammed a bit of Slave, the Stones song. ;D

That SLAVE would have been great live as a jam to introduce the band
to replacing Miss You or even shortening it to a tight 4 minutes... but alas, we have no more Brown Sugar, so I imagine that SLAVE would also be on a similar no-play list these days. |
