Title: Stones 2019 Tour has been postponed - updated 5/16 with rescheduled dates Post by Gazza on Mar 30th, 2019 at 8:06am
The upcoming tour has been postponed.
This was just posted on the band's official social media outlets a few minutes ago : Unfortunately today the Rolling Stones have had to announce the postponement of their upcoming US / Canada tour dates - we apologise for any inconvenience this causes those who have tickets to shows but wish to reassure fans to hold onto these existing tickets, as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates, which will be announced shortly. Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment. The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible. “I’m so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets, I really hate letting you down like this. I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on the road as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone.” - Mick Jagger |

I deserve a place in this thread, having posted the following yesterday:
Having followed closely, and with admiration, the skillfully targeted social media marketing of the Stones' tours since 2012, I have to say I find the non-marketing of the current tour more than a bit bizarre. Either 1) I have vastly underestimated the Stones' current automatic appeal in the USA to the event junky/bucket list crowd, or 2) this tour is about to be delayed for some "unavoidable" reason. |
Title: Re: Stones 2019 Tour has been postponed Post by nankerphelge on Mar 30th, 2019 at 8:36am
I do too. A smaller one though.
Okay, okay...I didn't call it yesterday. But something sure was off this past week. Usually, there is a lot of news, lot's of background chatter. But everything dummied up real quick like over the last couple of days. You expect the race horse to be shown off a bit before the actual race. Gut wrenching. |
Title: Re: Stones 2019 Tour has been postponed Post by Gazza on Mar 30th, 2019 at 8:37am
Yes indeed. You'd wonder how long this was on the cards though.
Saying that, I think they had been posting social media statuses about rehearsals either starting or about to, in Miami. The tour was due to finish three months from yesterday. Suffice to say that if theyre pulling a tour 3 weeks before it starts knowing that Mick is incapable of performing until at least July then whatever the problem is, its pretty significant. Those stadium shows will be a nightmare to reschedule. Hope Mick gets well soon, whatever it is. Gutted for all the people who have tickets and flights/accommodation booked |

I had pit - tickets for Jacksonville and planned on seeing them in Philly and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. If Twickenham was the last time, it was a hell of great way to go out. My added bonus was having a beer with Gazza and seeing his ticket upgrade in person.

Try not to get over-excited. The tour is merely postponed, not cancelled. Take the announcement at face value.
Could well just be something like a throat issue that requires treatment and a prolonged period of rest. He's had that before about 15 years ago - albeit it was after a tour and didnt cause anyone any inconvenience. |

I hope so Gazza but I suspect that is to keep the hounds aways. I hope I'm wrong but I worry it's a little more serious than that. For, of all people, the most dependable member of the band in every way, to be out for an extended period like this is concerning. What I hope it is is some sort of knee or hip type of thing that needs something like a replacement rather than something more serious. |

JazzFest, being a festival date, will surely be cancelled.
Hopefully, if and when the Stones DO reschedule the tour dates, they'll fit in that long awaited return to N.O. somehow Hang on to your tickets for now though, until the festival confirms whats happening https://www.nola.com/jazzfest/2019/03/rolling-stones-cancelled-for-jazz-fest.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=noladotcom_sf&fbclid=IwAR2Q-VthOSRWY6GNbKr-oXljmvo_xt9lvLwzC97mBzJA4tEv1vgYjOfz9ag |

Could be as simple as that. He's 75 after all and those joints have taken quite a bit of punishment over the years (I remember Prince getting hip replacement surgery when he was about 50) Mick may be the most 'dependable' band member in terms of overall health, but hes also the most indispensable. Keith, Ronnie and Charlie could do an entire tour sitting down or can still perform if their voice is shot. Mick can't. Maybe its all just a ruse and the announcement of this news on this of all weekends is because Mick has taken a three month leave of absence to sort out Brexit as no one else can manage to do it. ;) |

Jazzfest definitely out. The last sentence in here is a bit more drastic than we may want to believe.
“The Rolling Stones’ much-touted appearance at the 2019 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has been canceled, Jazz Fest said Saturday (March 30) amid reports that frontman Mick Jagger is ailing. The band scrubbed the entire North American leg of its No Filter tour.” |

In any case, get well Mick, we lov'ya ! I've seen on other boards that a few people plan on making the trip anyway.. vacation or holiday or whatever. a) Obviously its a buzz when I nail something like this, so I'll blather on a bit while the high lasts, before returning to my meditating and fasting b) I had been thinking about making this prediction for almost a month, but I just couldn't pull the trigger. The lack of marketing was just screaming out for an explanation. The collapse of the Super Bowl marketing scheme for No Filter USA (see my remarks below from the Tour thread) had me saying to myself "OK, Mick, so what's plan B?" Mick always has a plan B. But much to my puzzlement plan B never appeared, until i just had to make note of it with the above prediction (while still hoping i was wrong) c) But now I realize THIS was plan B all along. For Mick to sick out as the only means to salvage the tour. d) One contributing factor is that the USA will be in a much better, more partying mood next year after Dwayne Johnson defeats Donald Trump in the March 3 California winner-take-all Republican primary. Just about everybody will be happy to see the Divisiveness Era come to an end, with President Rock and his female vice-president, (formerly a presidential candidate from the other party). (Full disclosure, I do not support Dwayne or any other presidential candidate. But I have placed a good sized bet on Dwayne 2020, like I did on Trump 2016) re-post of my explanatory remarks from the Tour thread: 1) I've noticed for months now that this tour was not being marketed in any way that made sense, given the pricing and the size of the venues 2) I think the circumstantial evidence of a collapse in the effort to use the Maroon 5 halftime show to market the Stones NFL tour is persuasive. In the end, Adam Levine would only agree to Jagger having a minor cameo, where Mick would only consider a star-of-the-show appearance. Levine was so angry he would not even say the word "jagger" when M5 did a 30-second version of their biggest hit. 3) I wrote in December that the Stones needed the Super halftime show to fill the NFL venues, and apparently i was right. 4) So i'll make another guess now. The shows will be rescheduled but not until the same months in 2020. 5) And yes, this means I believe Mick's health is fine. I'm pretty sure Mick has been chilling on Mustique with Noor while Melhamrick got packed off to collude with the Russians. Lucky in Love: "Doctor, doctor, doctor, get me a nurse!" |

I hate to speculate but judging from Keith and Ronnie's messages, this smells like cancer. If it had been his knee or his hip, I doubt they would make public statements like that. I hope I'm wrong and it's something relatively more simple, but I fear the worst after reading their messages. Still, Charlie overcame it like a lion and if it is, indeed, something more serious, I wish the best for Mick and his loved ones in his fight.

At this point, the Drudge story does not add up
1) Symptomless aortic valve stenosis is NOT treated by surgery 2) Aortic valve replacements are NOT minor in any way. It would be a big deal. 3) The Drudge story links to the Daily Mail which links to the Drudge story 4) So far, no major news organization is running with the story, wary I'm sure about Drudge having been April-fooled by somebody. |

What I find interesting is that I only see two other news sources reporting this, both referencing the Drudge Report. No American mainstream news agency has reported this story as of yet.
If this news is confirmed to be true then this is a real eye opener about the current state of American media. Will they not reference this news because it might lead one to go to the source which is considered "alt right" media? Memory hole here we come. |

No, I do not believe Rolling Stone magazine either
This is how I expect this nonsense to be resolved over the next few weeks: It will be reported that Mick got a second opinion and it has been decided that any necessary surgery will not be immediate. Instead the condition will simply be closely monitored. And since there are no restrictions on his activity at this time, the tour is therefore likely to be rescheduled sooner rather than later. And then the tour will eventually get rescheduled, after lots more bullshit, at the same stadiums during the same months. in the year 2020. |

1) I regard it as a FACT that, at least since the Super Bowl, this tour was always
going to be postponed. No marketing, no tour. Simple as that. 2) I regard it as a POSSIBILITY that this tour was never supposed to start on time, that even the Super Bowl thing was never supposed to happen (although Adam Levine certainly was led to believe that it was) 3) I regard it as a POSSIBILITY that, in either case, the main driver of the postponent is an unusual approach to selling tickets for next year's tour. 4) I regard it as an IMPOSSIBILITY that Mick at this time has a heart valve problem requiring surgery. 5) I regard it as a POSSIBILITY that both this strange approach to selling tickets and the reported heart problem are cover stories for something else that, at long last, is being dealt with appropriately. Remember, I am the one who publically warned about LWren's mental health for over a year before that very black day in 2014. So FWIW i've been warning about Melanie for over two years now. |

I've got loads more circumstantial evidence, and so have slightly revised
my hypotheses as follows: Rev 20 Redlights wrote on Apr 3rd, 2019 at 7:34pm:
I don't want to waste my time and energy writing up all the new circumstantial evidence I have gathered, since very few if any readers are going to consider it with proper attention. Yes, I know what Chris Jagger and Lucas Jagger and Mick Jagger have said, but my only guidance to you is to pay no attention to what anybody is saying. This is what you should do: Pay close attention to any verified news about Melanie and Devi. One of the chief means I used to detect L'Wren's deteriorating mental health was her aberrant social media and eventually her disappearance from social media entirely, since she was so clearly addicted to it. Melanie has been missing from social media for 12 days now. Not a single word from her about her "babe" Mick. And I don't think she's ever been away for more than 4 days. I am GUESSING she is in some sort of protective custody so she can not hurt herself. I am GUESSING that Dev is with Mick (and probably Georgia) either in England or some other favorable jurisdiction. These are GUESSES. The presumption of innocence holds. Mick's people are probably trying to negotiate right now for control of Melanie's social media. Mick does not want to hurt Melanie, I think he just wants to protect Devi and himself. It would be in Melanie's best interests to cooperate. This cover story in my opinion has been carefully crafted so that if all goes well it will never have to be revealed (even as doubts grow over the next year about the official narrative). Melanie will just slowly disappear into the woodwork, receiving the best care available. |

Now who's next?
Fleetwood Mac cancels tour, including Jazz Fest gig NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Fleetwood Mac has canceled their appearance at New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival as Stevie Nicks recovers from the flu. The band recently replaced the Rolling Stones as Jazz Fest headliners after Mick Jagger had heart surgery. Fleetwood Mac was scheduled to play on May 2. Organizers made the announcement Monday morning. The band is canceling its entire North American tour. A Jazz Fest tweet told ticket holders to, “Stay tuned for updates about May 2 talent and tickets.” As an update to previous Fleetwood Mac posts regarding a band member illness, Stevie Nicks has the flu. While she is feeling better already, management has consulted with her doctors and have decided to reschedule the remaining four shows of their North American tour to allow for her full recovery,” a rep for the band said in a statement to Rolling Stone. Jagger is resting after heart surgery. A spokesman for the Rolling Stones said he is expected to make a full recovery. The rocker sent out a message to his fans on Twitter apologizing for the postponement. In his tweet he said, “I really hate letting you down like this. I am devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working hard to be back on stage as soon as I can.” When Fleetwood Mac was announced as a replacement, Nicks said she could not wait to get back to New Orleans. :blankfriggingstare1 :thatwassmart :retarded :wtf2 :will-ya Mick Jagger Doctor Brutally Rips Singer After Surgery By Brett Buchanan - Apr 10, 2019 The doctor who invented the heart surgery that saved Mick Jagger’s life last week told AFP in a new interview that he is not a fan of The Rolling Stones. Professor Alain Cribier told AFP, “I am not especially a fan of the Rolling Stones but I am pleased with the outcome. What is moving is to think about all the patients who have benefited from the procedure.” Mick Jagger’s brother Chris told the Sunday People after the surgery, “Mick is doing OK. I spoke to him… he’s good. It just showed up on a scan so it could happen to anybody, you know. “It happened to Joe. He came back from walking the dogs and his wife found him collapsed on the sofa. He had this valve problem. “His father died from it. It was hereditary. With Mick it came on a check-up. “That is why when you get to a certain age they want to check for this, check for that. You get to 70, you got to be careful, you know. “I’ve had a few health issues. At least he has not got to wait in line for the NHS.” The Stones had to cancel US gigs because of Mick’s op. And Chris added: “Maybe he will slow down. Touring is a pressure.” |

1. Now its 15 days since Melanie has appeared on her social media. 2. As you may know, Melanie not only choreographed her Stones ballet but also performed as lead dancer in its Russian premier March 27. She was also scheduled to perform in its NYC premier next week. It was to be her crowning moment. But she is no longer scheduled as a performer. https://yagp.org/yagp-2019-gala-cast-members/ 3. Will Melanie even attend this NYC event? That is the million dollar question. 4. Will anyone even notice Melanie's absence? I doubt it. I anticipate that the world will instead be fascinated on that day by the first photos of a remarkably "miraculously recovered" Mick Jagger playing in his garden with his angelic 2-year-old son. Also, at the same time, hardcore Stones fans will be busy scrambling to make arrangements for the suddenly announced re-scheduled summer shows. 5. When those rescheduled shows are also postponed a couple months from now (until 2020), will the reason given also be Mick's physical health? No. Something else. Which you might be able to guess once you open your mind a bit. 6. And what should be said to those who are suffering so much inconvenience and expense because of this (sadly necessary, brilliantly conceived) postponement drama? I would say to them, "You have helped save the life of a beautiful innocent little boy. And you have helped prevent an ex-lover from doing enormous harm to Mick and the Stones. Thank you for your service." (strictly guesswork on my part of course, as usual) |

I wouldn't call her a girl, my friend (thank you for your service). My opinion is that she is a very disturbed woman with obviously larcenous and murderous intentions. Thank God murder (including self-murder) is no longer a possibility. That part of this delicate operation has already succeeded. The remainder of this staged drama has the goal of restoring to Mick as much as possible of what she has already stolen from Mick's being, as a man and as an artist. I foresaw the healthy photo of Mick appearing in this timeframe. Now comes the re-scheduled summer tour. But make sure, travelers, that you have refundable tickets and rooms. As I said, there will be another planned postponement, having nothing to do with Mick's physical health. But it will be just as dramatic |

Isn't that one of the "On holiday" shots he had taken at various park and beach locations over the last few tours? Also, being that the criminal insurance company AIG is sponsoring this tour, I wouldn't put any form of chicanery beyond any of the players here. |

Postponement vs Cancellation...
legally, there is a difference I suppose for refunds and tour insurance (which may not have even been finalized at this point)... If the "postponed" status remains, I wonder if all venues will be available at the next touring window? Its easy enough to work out (non-NFL season), Jazzfest 2020 and the festival outside of Toronto may be out of luck (maybe Air Canada Arena or even another Moncton show instead!!). If "canceled" tickets are refunded and they are at square one and are free to add a date to Raleigh NC or even play at UNC Kenan Stadium so I can walk to a show again. The other option is that the band calls it quits. I am sure they would have wanted to call it quits on their own terms and not a medical condition to have been the reason not to hit the 60 Licks milestone. I know there plenty of logistical hurdles to each scenario, but the uncertainty is getting to me. |

If a show is postponed, you still have the right to a refund if the rescheduled date doesnt suit you.

I'm holding on to my tickets for the 6 shows I already bought but I might end up skipping, changing and adding shows. More decisions to be made, since I lost money that I'm still paying off so I wont be traveling as much next time. This annoys me but I'm more concerned about MICK's health, that's how strong my love is.

Mick Jagger attends ballet in 1st public outing since heart surgery
By Oli Coleman April 18, 2019 | 8:28pm On Thursday evening, Mick Jagger made his first public appearance since undergoing heart surgery. The Rolling Stones frontman — who had a stent put in an artery earlier this month — attended the Youth America Grand Prix’s 20th-anniversary gala to see his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick debut a ballet that’s set to Stones music. We’re told the rock legend slipped in a side entrance because he wanted to keep a low profile. According to an insider, he told organizers, “When I go to a fund-raiser, it’s like Santa Claus at Macy’s: Everyone wants to sit on my lap and have a photo taken.” Added the insider, “He says he’s well and hale.” We’re told Jagger was keen to be at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center to see the world premiere of the piece, which he orchestrated, and to “congratulate the performers right after.” Page Six first reported that Hamrick was putting the ballet together. The Stones postponed the US leg of their tour, No Filter, in late March after doctors told Jagger he wasn’t healthy enough to go on the road. –– ADVERTISEMENT –– He underwent the heart surgery in New York a few days later. https://pagesix.com/2019/04/18/mick-jagger-attends-ballet-in-1st-public-outing-since-heart-surgery/ |

Update: What it seems I got right. And wrong.
I had indicated earlier that the biggest goal of this drama was, by using hard evidence that had been gathered by Mick's people, to coerce Melanie's cooperation in allowing Mick to go on with his life without having to pretend any longer to be her partner. About three years ago, shortly after Mick's very brief affair with the ballet dancer, Mick and Noor Alfallah had fallen in love. But fucking hell! Melanie had entrapped Mick with a pregnancy using his semen in a manner he absolutely had not intended. (For a more detailed look at Melanie's motivations, you may want to check out my long Shidoobee post entitled "A Star is Stillborn". In addition to Mick and Melanie, it features relevant appearances by Prince and Misty Copeland) Mick and Noor decided on the difficult path of keeping their romance mostly secret until Melanie had recovered from her pregnancy and both Mel and Dev could feel secure as members of the extended Jagger clan. When the boy was about 18 months old Mick and Noor began to slightly come out of the closet about their relationship, thus slightly pressuring Melanie to give up her fantasies and face the facts of where she stood with Mick. But it quickly became clear that Melanie had no intention of gracefully giving up her pretend-status as Mick's "partner" but instead was going to use Dev to essentially blackmail Mick into doing what she wanted. That is: to make Mel very rich and famous as Mick's supposedly adored one-and-only. Mel went so far as to (in my opinion, based on one particular photo) threaten suicide if he dumped her. This obviously also constituted a threat to Dev's life. Can you imagine what Mick would have had to go through if another nutcase girlfriend of his offed herself? And potentially Mick's child too? Because of what would have been painted by the media as his "cruel infidelity". Even if Mick guessed Mel was only bluffing, he couldn't afford to call that bluff. So Mick and Noor again had to cool it. They had to put on a big show of "breaking it off". With Noor even pictured with other "boyfriends". And Mick had to convince Melanie that he had changed his ways and was not only going to be (publically) loyal to her but was also going to put in a proper effort to make her a big star. Thus was born a twin-pronged approach: 1) convince Melanie that a Stones ballet was just the ticket to get her on the road to the stardom she had always craved, and 2) use a tour postponement drama to accomplish the exact opposite, to rid himself of her. All of this I'm pretty sure I got right. What it looks like I got wrong was overestimating how difficult and risky it would be to secure Melanie's cooperation with this cover story. I was afraid she was full-on black-swan- crazy and so it would take months before, with the help of medical authorities, the threats posed by Melanie could be completely neutralized. And this was a legit fear. That's why there was this contingency for a second postponement drama, to be caused by Melanie suddenly running off with a young ballet hunk and leaving Mick and Dev "devastated". But, in just the last two weeks, during Mel's unprecedented social media silence, as Melanie and her lawyers reviewed the evidence and saw just how easy it was going to be to bring Melanie to complete ruin, Melanie gave up the crazy shit and did some hard negotiating, apparently signing a new deal. To escape big penalties (which she certainly deserves), she would give up all claims on Mick and Dev (except for PR purposes) and she would, for the next few years, live a life very closely supervised by Mick's people. Perhaps hardest of all, she would give up on Fame. In return, if she fulfilled her new role, she would get a big windfall, an absolute shitload of money (which she certainly does NOT deserve, but which still represents a bargain for Mick in terms of his freedom). In summary: a very strange twisted win-win in a real-life game of thrones. And so: we don't necessarily any longer need the second postponent drama now. Perhaps now, after "trying and failing" to get workable summer/autumn dates, things will simply shift to the always-intended real dates in Spring 2020. As part of her new role, Melanie will appear at the right time with a new pretend-boyfriend, so that then Mick and Noor can finally come out of the shadows and get married. For the media and most fans everything will seem quite amicable between exes Mick and Melanie. (And Mick will never need to confirm or deny the heart problem. Never thank or identify any specific doctor or hospital. But people will still believe he had surgery, because that's what "sources" have told them to believe) Mick AND Keith can then do a properly HUGE version of Satisfaction with Taylor Swift and her band at Super Bowl 2020. And then, at last, proper marketing of their US tour. And then we can finally get motherfucking rock and roll back on the road again. Opening show opening song: They're really rocking in Boston/ In Pittsburgh, P.A./ Deep in the heart of Texas/ all 'round Biscayne Bay/ All over St. Louis/ Way down in New Orleans/ All the cats wanna dance with/ Sweet Little Sixteen (Good film script, right? Even better than Bohemian Rhapsody i think. But feel free to suggest changes/edits) |

Rev?
The 75-year-old rocker, recovering from a heart procedure two weeks earlier, remained behind the scenes for the duration of his girlfriend's April 18 ballet, telling an event insider that he wanted to avoid crowds because he "didn't quite look like" himself. Mick Jagger could be heard but not seen at Lincoln Center during the April 18 premiere of girlfriend Melanie Hamrick's new ballet, Porte Rouge. The 75-year-old rocker, recovering from a transcatheter aortic valve replacement operation two weeks earlier, remained backstage for the duration of the dance performance (which Hamrick choreographed to Rolling Stones classics like "Sympathy for the Devil" and "Paint It Black"), telling an event insider that he wanted to avoid crowds because he "didn't quite look like Mick Jagger." Still, the rocker did greet the audience over loudspeakers. "Mick Jagger here. Hope you enjoy this wonderful new ballet and the music," he announced. According to backstage sources, Jagger was dressed in black jeans, a black jacket and sneakers, and stayed for the entire performance, holding Hamrick’s hand and congratulating the dancers. Jagger skipped the dinner, which Hamrick attended along with such guests as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen; the twins designed a white tutu for the gala. The ballerina did dodge an afterparty to go home to the singer, and friends say she has given up her apartment and moved to a new Upper West Side home with Jagger and their 2-year-old, Deveraux, who is mistaken by neighbors for a girl due to his long locks. “People say, ‘You have such a beautiful daughter, but I still refuse to cut his hair,’’ says Hamrick. The ballet was part of the 20th anniversary gala for Youth America Grand Prix, a nonprofit international student ballet competition and scholarship program. Hamrick has a soft spot for YAGP, which launched her career as an ABT dancer, and it’s the organization’s artistic director, Larissa Saveliev, who suggested she use the Stones' music. “I picked the music but Mick guided me,’’ says Hamrick. “He would say, ‘This song is easier to cut to the right length.'" She admits she was nervous about how the audience would receive her first choreographic effort. “I would love to do more, but I was so self-conscious. Mick is really supportive, though, and a wonderful partner. He was backstage hugging the dancers after the performance. He is my rock.” https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/rambling-reporter/backstage-as-mick-jagger-makes-first-post-op-public-appearance-1204047 |

Watching all the headless chickens running around the IORR coop
in bv's similarly titled thread, I guess its time to lay out the trail of evidence leading to the inescapable conclusion that this tour was NEVER planned for early 2019 and will not happen until Spring 2020 1. 14 of the shows are planned at NFL-team facilities, some controlled by AEG and some by SMG (AEG and SMG are in the process of merging). AEG and SMG also control many many other stadiums used by MLB and NCAA football. So why just NFL stadiums? Because the NFL is a (not yet announced) partner in this tour. You did not see Stones/NFL marketing during the 2018-2019 football season, but of course you WILL during the 2019-2020 season. 2. In addition to the lack of NFL marketing, this year there was NONE of the innovative Zipcode marketing pioneered by the Stones in 2014 and replicated by Trump in 2016. Its not a coincidence that Zipcode hit all the swing states that gave Trump his victory. These citizens were tired of being ignored. The key is to work with local media, local sports teams, local civic groups, local charities, local themes on advanced-sale merchandise etc. You saw NONE of this in early 2019 and you will see PLENTY of this in early 2020. As for those very gullible people who look at Ticketmaster and conclude that the fictional 2019 tour was selling well, I've already explained (in my thread "business secrets of the Stones") that 99% of the tickets on the secondary market are controlled by the Stones, through their partners. Between what's on the secondary market and what has never been released yet, I would estimate that the Stones have only sold about 30% of the tickets so far. So now that I've demonstrated conclusively from a business perspective how this tour was always planned for 2020, next time I will demonstrate from a medical perspective that it is absolutely ridiculous to think that Mick has had a heart valve replaced. |

Mick Jagger ‘Fatal’ Health Risk Revealed By Doctor
By Brett Buchanan - May 9, 2019 The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger recently had successful heart surgery, and Sudbury is reporting that Dr. Mark Henderson at Health Sciences North credited Dr. John Webb of St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver for helping create the innovative procedure, and that he trained the doctors who performed the surgery on Jagger. He said the health risk for Jagger with aortic valve failure could have been ‘fatal’ and that the surgery is a major medical advancement. He said the aortic valve implant involves a puncture into the patient’s groin area to access the femoral artery. From there, the tiny valve is inserted via a long narrow tube called a catheter. The surgeons can then use an imaging process such as x-ray to guide the catheter to the aortic valve in the heart. The new valve is implanted over the damaged valve. The catheter tube is removed and the new valve begins working immediately. Later on Dr. Henderson said: “The TAVI procedure, the way it is done now, you are admitted on the day of the procedure. You have sedation; no general anesthetic. There is no incision in the chest or leg. The catheter is inserted by needle puncture and the new aortic valve, which is somewhat miniaturized, is advanced up to where the aortic valve is then it is deployed,” he explained. As a veteran cardiac surgeon, Henderson admitted he didn’t believe in the procedure when he was first told about it. “To be honest when I first heard about this I thought it was ridiculous. So I was a skeptic. Obviously I was wrong and other people like John Webb persevered and you know he had some setbacks in the beginning but he kept going and now it is an accepted procedure and it is done all over the world,” said Henderson. https://www.alternativenation.net/mick-jaggerfatal-health-risk-revealed-doctor |

I am thoroughly, totally and absolutely convinced that the band will play Skeggy this year. A reasonably lengthy summer season at The Embassy Theatre will threefold be a much needed but lovely warm-up, seal their reputation in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire and allow the odd recording of ditties for their CD, 'Oooo' with every track a Maserati.
Happy days. |

The new dates are fvcked up. August 31 in Miami is the worst time of year; hot (95 every day and 88 at night), humid (100%), rainy season (every day). I don't go to outdoor concerts that time of year because of this. I have tickets to 6 shows and I think I'm going to 1 of them and maybe adding a different venue because of the dates. Not working for me. Oh well. That's life with the Stones.

I decided to wade through a bunch more medical literature on aortic valve stenosis, and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, and wrote up a long thing about it, but it was just too boring to post, so I'll boil it down for you... Aortic valve stenosis develops slowly, over decades. If Mick was developing it, he simply could not have put on the shows he did in Europe 2018. Impossible! Not unlikely. Absolutely impossible. Since Mick did not have stenosis, then he did not have TAVR surgery. Case closed. It really is that simple. While we're waiting for the tour to be, as I indicated earlier in this thread, postponed again for reasons having nothing to do with Mick's health, you might want to research valve stenosis yourself. Unless you're as fit as Mick, it is likely you have some degree of it already. And there are non-surgical, non-pharmeceutical ways to mitigate your long-term risk. |

DC is out for me as well. Can't get time off from work that week.
This may well be the first Stones Tour since 1975 that I won't see at least 1 show but the dates aren't good for me. I'm not a fan of Stadiums especially when high heat and humidity is a factor. Maybe when I was 15 ('75), 18 ('78), 21 ('81) etc, but not anymore. If Buffalo, 2015 is to be my last show, I'm good with that. It was an amazing show, the weather was perfect and the party was incredible. Happy to watch from the sidelines this time. Hope all that attend have a great time. Long live The Rolling Stones! |

Wow. People STILL believe this tour is happening in 10 days ?!?!
No buzz, no hype, no merchandise. Sasha's rehearsing for Hair's 50th anniversary tour. Karl has never stopped selling tickets for his tour, which places him often on the opposite side of the country from the phony Stones dates. It is flat-out frightening how easy it is to fool people these days. Incidentally, the reason there's no merchandise is because when the tour actually happens next Spring, it will have a different name. Definitely NOT NoFilter. Wake up, people. |

Thats the end of the London rehearsals now (inviting fans in is usually a sign).
They did very well to keep the details and location under wraps. Expect them to move to Chicago over the weekend ahead of a couple of final rehearsals there ahead of next Friday's tour opener. |
