Title: Vegas now taking bets on Jagger at Super Bowl Post by Rev 20 Redlights on Jan 21st, 2019 at 3:23pm
Back in Sept I imaginatively wrote:
A two minute song-and-dance cameo from Sir Mick on this Super tune (with the Maroonies inserting a bar or two of Satisfaction) would not only blow away the Atlanta and television audiences but also majorly boost the hotness of tickets for the Stones US stadium shows next year amongst the desired demographic of bucket listers, tourists, and event junkies. In Nov I doubled down: The rest of the tickets will be held back for "normal" release in Feb, after Jagger's Super Bowl appearance with Maroon 5 In December Mick dropped this hint: (There was also that news story about Adam Levine inviting the Stones, but of course the Stones do not do cameos. Only the individual members do) And now here in January according to Forbes you can finally bet on it in Vegas... Will Mick Jagger make an appearance during the halftime show? Yes +300 No -400 As I said months ago its the only way they're gonna move all those unsold tickets. |

What if Maroon 5 played Moves like Jagger, and then MICK struts right onto the stage and they sing a duet. That would be SO COOL!

Don't mean to be negative, but as cool as this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsJkibl6ZwM I really wish he wouldn't do this stuff. It chips away at his greatness. Although I don't think Timberlake was his idea. I remember reading something about how Keith's daughters were fans of nstink or something like that. |

Here's what Maroon 5 told Hollywood Life:
Everyone knows Maroon 5’s monster hit ‘Moves Like Jagger’ so the idea from Adam came very easily to have them perform it with Mick and the gang. Adam feels that it would be great to get the Stones to a newer audience and it would clearly help their tour as it also would be a dream come true for Maroon 5 to perform with such icons This exact logic holds up for Jagger individually. $10 million of free advertising for the tour. Mick takes all the flack from the purists, while the Stones reap all the benefits. As usual. |

Now a "news" story appearing on the google feed, from Elite Daily
Excerpts: Fans are speculating/hoping/praying that Jagger may appear on the Super Bowl halftime stage a whole 13 years after he and the Rolling Stones' own Super Bowl performance in 2006. Jagger, if you're listening, the people love you (and are expecting you). In fact, some disgruntled fans are even suggesting he might be the only thing that can "save" Maroon 5. https://www.elitedaily.com/p/will-mick-jagger-perform-at-the-2019-super-bowl-maroon-5-could-perform-moves-like-jagger-15897511 |

I don't think Mick will touch the knee/no knee issue. A duet with Gladys Knight on the National Anthem would be more likely.
As a matter of fact, though I loved Gladys in the 1970s and frequently hear a GK/Pips song in my head (because I can't hear them on the radio) - Mick should take a lesson from her opportunism. And probably has. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lGrShe7t7c |

Yup...he will ...for a year until he explodes again. But I think he goes to the Raiders for one of their firsts. SF not giving up third overall for him. |

I am soooo out of this loop...I didnt even know Ms Knight was still alive, let alone still performing...is she really the 1/2 time show??
I remember when the halftime shows were like the Georgia Tech Marching Band playing stuff no one cared for but would totally rawk it with tight formations and stuff like that... |
