To celebrate his 70th birthday here you have the internet debut of his show at Salón 21 in Mexico City, on August 31, 2001; the song is “Late at Night” with a great intro, musicians are Mick Taylor (Guitar and lead vocals), Max Middleton (Piano), Michael Bailey (Bass, vocals) and Godfrey McLean (Drums), they were touring North America in support of Mick’s album “A Stone’s Throw” (source is 8mm Tape  VHS Tape  Digital AVI  YouTube)

I spent a few hours in three days with Mick and his band, I interviewed Mick for a local newspaper (La Jornada) and for the most important TV Channel in Latin America (Televisa) in both cases because the intended interviewer didn’t understand Mick’s English LOL, the coolest time was when we finished the interviews as we had a long casual conversation.

The opening band was a band we (my Friend Enrique Caballero and I) made for this special occasion, the band was great, the audience (use to be very tough here for opening acts) was begging for more!

My favorite Stone by a country mile. Great pics. I remember that tour well. Great band, except Jeff Allen was on drums when I saw them.
