I hate Christmas music. I had to go to the store today despite planning everything carefully so that I wouldn't. They were playing Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer. Of all the Christmas songs ever, that has to be one of the worst. Now it's stuck in my head.

Ginny's Homemade Eggnog

6 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
3 cups half and half ( or 1 cup heavy cream + 2 cups whole milk)
1/2 to 11/2 cups liquor (rum, bourbon, etc. --  if using Southern Comfort, use a little less sugar)
Nutmeg

Whisk eggs together in an extra-large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients, one at a time, whisking after each addition. Pour into a container or jug through a strainer and a funnel.

I decided to give champagne another whirl. This isn't bad but I think I'll always prefer a good soft red wine.

On the other hand, I've got a bad cold so my sense of taste might be off. Who the hell knows. Yeah I caught a cold from a friend's kid at Christmas. I guess that's what I get for thinking I could be social like normal people.

At any rate, I haven't eaten anything today so the champagne is going to my head surprisingly fast. Good night, people and have a happy 2018. Try not to freeze your ass off in the coming week.

Hey Joey! Happy New Year, and to everybody else. 2017 was a great year for me and I am looking forward to more STONES in 2018. They are amazing, God Bless the Rolling Stones. I hope we all get together somewhere in 2018. A Rocks Off party in  (fill in the blank) London, NY, Vegas, LA? Too early to be sure at this point, but wherever they go, I'll do my best to get there. It's the anticipation that excites me and the music at the shows gets me off followed by the euphoria and satisfaction. Uh huh yeah!

Well, New Year's Day is almost over where I live. So when are we supposed to stop drinking?
