Title: Today In Stones News.
Post by Heart Of Stone on Dec 12th, 2017 at 8:14am
I thought we had a thread for this, I went 15 pages back, couldn't find it.
December 12, 1985: Ian Stewart, the co-founder of and longtime road manager and touring keyboardist for The Rolling Stones, died of a heart attack in the waiting room of a U.K. clinic.
Although Stu had founded the band in 1962, then-manager Andrew Loog Oldham felt that he didn't really fit the band's image and made him their roadie. He played piano on all of their albums, from their first one in 1964 to "Dirty Work" in 1986. Stu was 47 years old.

December 12, 1974: Five and a half years after replacing Brian Jones as lead guitarist, and saying that he felt that now was the time to "move on and do something new", Mick Taylor quits The Rolling Stones. Ronnie Wood of The Faced would become the Stones' new guitarist.

Really nice words about Stu in the first, and I enjoyed watching the IORR video with the foam. So cool. Thanks for posting!
