Adoro ese álbum. Buenos recuerdos. Por cierto; espero que estés bien, a pesar de todos los pedos que ha lanzado la madre naturaleza. Shine a light for you.

Got it on cassette when it came out.

I'd give it an 8.

That summer I remember hearing Anybody Seen My Baby? and I was pissed about that rap part.

Now I love that song.

Coincidentally...I was hanging out with Robi Banerji last night.
He recorded and engineered all 3 of Keith's songs on B2B.

Robi is currently doing sound for the Psychedelic Furs...Great Show!!
Check them out if they are coming to your town...I know StonesDoug will be hitting a few shows

I was on holiday in the south of france when it came out. I listened to the CD in virgin Marseille and bought the cd. My friend bought the cassette and we played it over and over in the car for the rest of the holiday.
(car CD players hardly existed back then!)

And a goodly record it was.  The best of the remixes are also a thing of beauty.

A Bigger Bang -- c'est la merde en comparison.

Great collection of Bridges material right there!

"Welcome to the Sleezeball Lounge...I'm the biggest sleeze of them all..."

That's how the video opens for Anybody Seen My Baby. Ronnie is reading that line on stage with some dancing girls.

Still love it.  Not a dud song on it - comfortably the best Stones album since "Tattoo You" and the mix is fabulous too.

Quite a brave move to sequence two Keith ballads back to back at the end of what was a long record, but it works beautifully. Two of the finest songs on the album. I dont really care if theres loads of extra musicians on the album or if Keith is missing on a couple of numbers or if the songs were conceived originally for separate solo projects. Who cares? All that matters is whether or not its a good album. And it most certainly is.  Its aged very well too.

My own personal everlasting memory of that record was listening to Flip The Switch on my walkman on the way into work on the bus one morning at such a loud volume (well, it seemed normal to me) that the driver pulled over and asked me to get off because I was deafening the rest of the passengers.

Fabulous tour too, even though Ronnie was AWOL for much of it. Keith really stepped up big-time.

One of many things that were wonderful about that tour was that not one, but two songs from the new album were absolute showstoppers night after night.  Saint of Me and Out of Control. And they were usually played back to back too. It was great to see huge stadiums going mad for new Rolling Stones songs in that way. It's never happened since.

Yes - he was off his tits for much of it

Ronnie by his own admission says he has done entire tours that he cant remember.

The BTB/No security tours  would probably be the era he was referring to.  Especially the '99 shows.

somethings for me are a blur also but the shows were enjoyable
especially the first night oakland with the full moon and boz scaggs sitting behind us, picked tickets up from the former bill graham presents after faxing our request in.

Listening now... great memories

This album made me search on the net, being newbie, for the Stones and for the first time I contacted fans all over the world and that was fantastic…

Two tours, the Bridges to Babylon and after it the release of “No Security” the album and after it “No Security” the tour! A great tour and my first with friends I made on the net

Rocks Off was created in between Bridges to Babylon and No Security

Hey Keith... please do "You don't have to mean it" again!!! Best reggae by the Stones and second best reggae by Keith, the best in my humble opinion is "The Harder they come"

Always Stiffening
"Our furniture will never last . And that's between me and you'.
The Jerry Murdochisms of 'Lo' Do..'
Keith's 'You Do' Have T' Moan It.
Thief In The 'Ni (like Rambler only more interesting?)
The grumbliing 'Might As Well A Ju-ed' (a foreunner, bass especially, of Gotta Get A Gripe)
The pointless yet pointed 'How Can I Stoop?'

Splendid stuff aplenty in 'Bridges'

I remember in Memphis on No Security stop Keith walked over to Ronnie's side and gave him a blast of shit. Suddenly we could hear two guitars again.

'No Security' in 1999 was the first tour where they did that as a matter of course for every show.

I think the BTB tour prices in the US were generally around $65, which was pretty normal at the time. Although when they did the MSG shows in early January 1998 (which I assume were the ones which would have affected you) they priced the tickets around the $100-200 range. Vegas may have been high too (the Hard Rock club show in Feb '98 certainly was) and they'd sold a show at the MGM in '94 at high prices too.  The final US show in March '98 was at the UC in Chicago and instead of the 'normal' $65 prices they sold them at something like $150-300 as an 'experiment'.

The show sold out, with the inevitable result that the next US tour the following year saw those prices as being the norm and not the exception.

We have Chicago to blame for all the gouging ever since.

Plus The fucking Eagles of course, as they started this nonsense before the Stones did.
