GAWD!!

At first I thought it was that horrible band called Chicago...
The ones who travel every year with relics like Kansas and Styx...

Chicago was a GREAT band until they were only in it for the money!!
  • I saw them live in 1973 and was a great show
  • I have their first records and they are really great
  • Terry Kath was a GREAT player, he stole the show by far

These version are terrible. One or two okay tracks...the rest are horrible and forgettable.

GREAT??

Admittedly...I prolly only only paid any attention to them  from 79 or so on...

So...maybe I missed their good stuff...but that mellow...jazzy rock was never anything I ever enjoyed...that whole early-mid 70's stuff on the radio was just not gelling with me back then...nor does it now...I cringe at most "classic rock"...or whatever they call it now..."Classic Vinyl...LOL"

PM for Sr Vodoo...

I'm a little surprised by the lukewarm reaction. Most, if not all of these sound fantastic. That's the best cover of Heartbreaker I've heard. I think that's also Mick on the harp (maybe) and that is always good. Mick also is at his growling bluesy best.
