For the arena shows? I would imagine so. Fans standing near the stage and paying through the nose to do so. Win-win for the Stones!

As far as things are "confirmed", it appears we are indeed getting the 50th stage for arena's. Hopefully we'll know more tomorrow. Long time rumour the Foo Fighters might be coming along for the ride. I'm set for Melbourne, that's for sure. Might be sitting with my back against the sewer pipes right up the side, but i'll be there. And if Hanging Rock does eventuate, I hope to be there too.

Stones' hanging rock'n'roll

THE Rolling Stones will take their rock 'n' roll juggernaut to Hanging Rock in Victoria's Macedon Ranges next March.

Following their announcement of a show at Adelaide Oval on March 22, the world's most enduringly successful rock band have released plans for an Australian tour that will take them to Hanging Rock and to Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.

Promoter Michael Gudinski revealed that the band, which was here last in 2006 on the Bigger Bang tour, would be playing material such as Gimme Shelter, Jumping Jack Flash and Tumbling Dice as well as a few covers.

This will be the Stones' seventh tour of Australia. Dates (excluding Adelaide) are Perth Arena March 19, Sydney Allphones Arena March 25, Melbourne Rod Laver Arena March 28, Hanging Rock, Victoria March 30, Brisbane Enteretainment Centre April 2 and Auckland Mt Smart Stadium April 5.

Pre sale tickets available Monday December 9 and Tuesday December 10. Official on sale tickets 9am local times December 16.

Apparently, according to my wife, I have to get my priorities right. So I wont be getting a solo tongue pit seat as planned for Laver in Melbourne. Fucking Christmas comes first she says. Hanging Rock prices out today & I am more than happy to go for the $153 general standing. As for Laver, i'll either get lucky with the dip, or miss out. I know I got married for a reason, but buggered if I can remember why now! hahaha. Bloody wife & kids.

P.S. more apparently, the "priorities" mean I sacrifice MY awesome front section seat at Laver so I have the privilege of paying for my wife to go. Grrrrrr-egory!

The Stones' Tokyo visit overlaps for a few days but Eric has a show the night of their first gig (26/2), is in Singapore the night of their second gig (4/3) and presumably will be on his way home by the time of their third (6/3).

Unless one of the band plays at one of Eric's shows, the only other possible collaboration would be if the Stones were to add a show on 2nd March (they could add a show on 28th february, but Clapton has a gig that night too). If they do, it wont be at the Tokyo Dome as the venue is being used for baseball on 1st and 2nd March and is unavailable for extra Stones gigs.

Update (18th December) - Hearing now that Bob Dylan is likely to be touring Japan in March as well.

Odd how last year the timing for Coachella was terrible
but the rumour was everywhere...

This year the timing is perfect but the speculation is
very subdued, which strikes me as maybe a bit
suspicious...

50 and Counting led up to Glastonbury which definitely
sold a lot of tickets for Hyde Park. Using that model,
success at Coachella would definitely help sell tickets

After much speculation, the show at Singapore's Marina Bay has now been officially confirmed for March 15.

So...Do we know of any ROers going to any of the shows?
I know we have a few asylum escapees down under going...but anyone/where else??

Well, the Stones have out lived me.

This is too much, I can't even believe their still touring this planet.

Please help me, I don't tune in every night here and check the setlist or even city like I used to.

But I do know it'll all be there for me later if I choose to get even more bootlegs.

The Stones should play in the Ukraine for Peace...

I don't want to hate or dislike Russia, again...like my favorite US President did - Ronald Reagan.

THE ROLLING STONES CONFIRM RESCHEDULED AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND DATES

The Rolling Stones today confirmed the rescheduled dates and venues for the postponed Australian and New Zealand leg of their 14 ON FIRE Tour.

The rescheduling of the tour to October/November has also allowed for two additional concerts to be added to the tour – one at Perth Arena on Saturday 1 November 2014 and the other at Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley on Saturday 15 November 2014.
