Regina (population 178,000) became only the 5th city on the entire tour to get back-to-back stadium shows (Boston, Buenos Aires, Tokyo and London being the others), selling out two nights at 40,000 people per show.

They get rewarded with a setlist where the first 7 songs were not played on the first show - 8 changes in all.

This was actually the first show to be announced. The show on 6th October was added after this one sold out quickly

"Let It Bleed" performed with Dave Matthews.      Back up to two encores again.

"Let It Bleed" performed with Dave Matthews.   The Stones performed a one-off brief version of the old Marty Robbins' hit "El Paso"

This concert was filmed for an official DVD project, scheduled to be released in 2007.

Two world premieres of songs by Texan legends, a cover of Waylon Jennings' tribute to his fellow Texan "Bob Wills Is Still The King", and Keith's performance of Buddy Holly's "Learning The Game", solo studio versions of which had been long in circulation as bootleg recordings.

A benefit concert for the Clinton Foundation and the first of two shows filmed by Martin Scorsese for the "Shine A Light" movie project.

'Loving Cup' featured Jack White (guitar and vocal), 'Champagne & Reefer' featured the opening act Buddy Guy (guitar and vocal) and 'Live With Me' had Christina Aguilera guest on vocals.

Setlist featured the Stones' debut of Muddy Waters' "Champagne & Reefer", the first performance of 'Loving Cup' since Detroit 12.10.02, the first "Loving Cup" since London 13.9.03 and the first performance of "I'm Free" since the Lyceum, London 21.12.69 (the song had only ever been previously performed in 1969).

A one-song encore again but unusually a show without either 'Honky Tonk Women' and 'Satisfaction' !

Concert postponed from 31.10.06 as Mick had a sore throat.

The second of two shows filmed by Martin Scorsese for the "Shine A Light" movie project. Jack White, Buddy Guy and Christina Aguilera guested again on the same three songs as the first night - 'Loving Cup', 'Champagne & Reefer' and 'Live With Me' respectively.

First performance of 'Some Girls' since Shepherd's Bush, London 8.6.99 (the song had only ever been previusly played in 1999) and the first 'Connection' since Rotterdam 29.8.95. Only previously performed in 1967 and 1995, this was it's first live performance outside Europe.

Back up to two encores again

Note : due to the 31.10.06 show being postponed for 24 hours, a "post production" shoot scheduled for 1st November at the Beacon where it was planned that the band would go through some re-takes in front of a live audience was cancelled.
